Our 9mo not feeling good. 2nd night on a row pretty much sleepless nights. Poor little fella still trying to crack a smile and be happy but it drags him down.
In saying that I was meant to be on the Murray camping right about now.
Oh well. Family first !!

I decided to look over my paperwork I got when we picked up the car weekend before last and noticed that ARB didn't fill out the post suspension installation height (2)". Decided to go have a look and no corner even close to being the same with a difference of 48mm beteween some of the corners. And the front left only gained 17mm after the 2" OME lift

Have you been to the docs?
I just ask as our eldest had those symptoms and we thought she was getting better, then she went backwards badly.
Turns out she had the pre stages of pneumonia.. 3 nights in hospital On a drip and meds.. Was not fun.
But all good now and she is as crazy as ever.. Lol

Yeh mate we went and got diagnosed as a simple cold & cough. His temperature is much better today compared to last 3 days. He fines up completely throughout the day, by the evening his almost 100% but then during the night s*** hits the fan.
He still soldiers on, cracks a smile here and there and plays etc... Tough little buggers.

Hope the kiddies are all ok and on the mend, it's a horrible thing when your young uns are sick and there's not alot you can do other than give them bug cuddles. Me and the missus are now on our 4th month without a solid nights sleep but that will hopefully change in a couple of weeks.

My youngest, Young Muddy Nut, (YMN) has badly hurt her wrist. Mrs MN took her to the local hospital. The on duty doctor reckons YMN has a hair line or a greenstick fracture. There is no Xray available on weekends here!!! So all they did, was put a half plaster cast on her wrist and told her to get an appointment on Monday, if there is one available. Imagine if someone had a compound break on their leg. They would have to endure a 100 km trip to Warrnambool or MT Gambier on the shocking roads we have here. :( :(:animierte-smilies-f

Yeah keep your chip up Mick. I know its hard. Believe me, don't take it out on the missus or kids, if you have any. I did and it just made things a lot worse. I'm currently in month three of no money, our funds are almost zero now and cards maxed out, but I think I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel, some payments have come through. Just hope its before Christmas.
I don't know if anyone has experienced this, but for me it seems this year has been busy with friends and my family either losing jobs or ugly separations happening. My sister is going through a messy split, two couples that me and the wife are friends of are both going through separation and my best mate and his brother who recently went halves in a house both got made redundant and my other mate, who owns a zook, just got made redundant too! Bloody hell!

Now the wife crappadore's ignition barrel had shat itself and I had to take the day off work without pay taking the missus to and ftom work and also get this sorted. More effing money down the toilet. Atleast the camper trailer we bought months ago is finally home in my garage and leaving me with no space. Love it. Hehe.
Might wanna reduce weight on your key rings. Heavy key rings put force on key and they chew out the brass.

I Don't know if its just me but I always think that stealing a blokes tools is bloody low.
I have been a tradesman for 32 years and am very protective of my tools. I was discussing tools with the guys at work yesterday and telling them I am proud of the fact that I still own a lot of the tools I got as an apprentice and one of the guys said that he had never lost a tool until his work van was broken in to and every tool he owned was stolen. You have to be total scum to steel tools.

Mate couldn't agree more. Not gonna lie when I was younger we use to steal some material from job sites but never touched the tools and use to make sure no one else did either. Bit sad about it really and insurance wont cover "tools of trade" cause thats a different policy the fact that I dont use the tools for work does not matter as alot of the tools are specialized to a trade *didnt know you had to be a builder to use a hammer*

That's terrible to have your tools stolen. The very year we moved in here, a neighbours shed was raided and they lost thousands of dollars of gear. Since then, I have my full name and V for vic and / or partial licence number etched or engraved into all my tools. Also, after seeing how many spanners etc for sale at a second hand tool store with three dots or some other symbol on them, I've made sure mine are easily ID'ed. The tool boxes also have ALL TOOLS MARKED written on them. Have been lucky so far (touch wood).

Reading the front page of the local paper that the Penrith Liberal MP has earmarked a restricted use dirt road that leads down to a beautiful spot on the Nepean River as the path of a new bridge over the river to Penrith.
This restricted road was once open ( many, many, many years ago ) and was closed down to stop 4wd's accessing the river, it is now gated and only used by an electric model plane club

I finally get a message today saying he has only shipped two of the items yesterday and he is having troubles with my radios. How about some communication too? ALSO it looks like I wont finish all my work by christmas, so yay for me, I'll be working. Ugh!
Ay Winne! Can you go for a drive to Bairnsdale and head butt them for me?

I've actually been in there before and met the guys. Pretty good blokes and a good shop too. I buy a bit from them on eBay.

Yeah I am surprised too as they are generally quick. But this time, just when the other parts I ordered, well in advance, I actually need, are taking their time.

iiNet taking two months to switch my home phone over to voip. Only to find out last Saturday morning that they switched off our current phone service without providing the new service. So we are without a home phone.
Yep they did that to me 2 years ago and was over the Xmas period, no apologies, nada. They lost my business soon after that, had been with them for over 8 years

Apprentices....... Had a job wiring a mobile conveyor in a saw mill today. It took 6.5 hours for this 4th year apprentice (who will be qualified in Febuary and out on their own) to run a cable from the isolator to where the start stop start station is back to the switch board a run of about 7 metres, half is run in adaptafex, should take 30 min to do.
The apprentice also had a 45 min smoko and 1hour 15min lunch, I had a 20 min smoko and 30 min lunch,
The fact I work for a contractor and the apprentices are generally for the client, I see too many apprentices that are in the later years, with no where near the skill they should have and no work ethic.
On the upside when I look for another job in my area, the competition for that job is pretty ordinary, increasing my chances of landing the job

Gotta hate that. I know I was an apprenty once as well, but I got kept as an employee after my time, definitely not for doing stuff like that.
We get a bunch come through annually. And all the time we see some 1st years, having a much better work ethic than the ones in later years.

Its more worrying when the 1st and 2nd years have compareable skill.

I reversed into a tree in October on Fraser Island and was driving the Patrol, only cracked the plastic bumper a little.
Was not going to mention it but now I see others have done it I don't feel so bad.
My excuse at the time was sun glare, couldn't see a bloody thing.

Not angry just annoyed
43 plus and the AC said enough is enough and didn`t want to work,
Had a quick look and said I don`t play with 240v, 5 minutes later daughter drops in and her trucks AC is not working.
Not a problem as it had broken the belt, 5 minutes to get a new one but blxxdy hell the motors still hot, 10 minutes of inconvenient pain and shes gone. At least we have two AC`s in the house and canafford to wait for the main one to be repaired .
So at the moment I`m totally relaxed drinking home brew like it`s going out of fashion.

Thats true. I was told to do exactly the same with some projects. But I was also given tight deadlines with others especially if they were breakdown related and put under over the top pressure to get it done

Another issue is they do the same jobs day in day out they don't actually understand why they are doing it in first place and why it broke. I see it with the I/E's at my work. They can replace it but they can't pull it apart fix a broken wire and put it back together

Well, do the job quickly and then go hide and snooze for the rest of the day :) Or do the lot and leave the last component until the end of the day. Hehe.
My mate used to work for Crown Casino in maintenance, he's a cabinet maker by trade, he'd get there at 6am, be told to do a job for the day, which would take him around 2 hours to do. So he'd go flat out and do the whole job but leave the last screw until just before knock off when the boss is due to walk in. As he had to stay at work, which was a big bloody place, he'd just go find an empty hotel room or something and have a lay down. He'd ask for more work to do but they had a quota and couldn't exceed it.
