People that enter into a contract to purchase a property, then ask for an extension for "finance reasons", then it becomes clear... they had no hope of getting finance.

As a certain radio station would say "FORK YOU"

Had that happen to me when we sold up in Gosford to move to Perth.
We were pretty devo'd by it, actually.
They had nothing like the money and tried to kick us in the nuts until we were down to what they did have or could get anyway.
Wanted 50K off for a damp reading in the 2nd bathroom internal wall and another 50K for a sagging ridge beam in the roof.
I fixed them both for change out of $7,000
Took another few months to sell after getting it back on the market etc.

It's not on the last nut or bolt you tightened? Done that once or twice
Yeah i did that once when putting the tailshaft back on. 40 minutes later i stop to see what the vibration was and found the socket still on the nut.
But to your question. No. I only use the 22mm for the tie rod and drag link nuts. I put the drag link back on Wednesday night. So ive lost if since then. Gawd! Where is it?

You know I'm 5 mins and a phone call away......

Yeah, we had that when selling our last place. They stuffed us around for months with several 'extensions'. When they requested a 4th extension we gave them a 2 day deadline. Come up with the money or property goes back on the market at 3pm. Went back on the market at 3pm & had a new prospective buyer the same day...... & they bought it. We were lucky I reckon.

The funniest things is, I just received a call from the real estate agent and they have a new buyer that is offering way more then the other losers. So hopefully things will work out for me.

Not always the buyers fault for needing extensions Rodney. My sister is going through it now where the house is on the market for just over 600g and the bank done a "Desktop" evaluation for 450g so they said she wasn't getting the money even though if they got of there ass and actually viewed the house and done their homework on sales values in the area they would know the house would be valued a hell of a lot more

Anyhow, good luck with your sale

The caliper bolts are 22mm. I laid in bed for about an hour thinking about it and i couldnt get to sleep so i went out to teh garage to check and guess what?
The bloody socket is hanging off the bottom caliper bolt.

So ended up with fine copper wire and bits of plastic all over the place ! Tried to glue / solder etc but no dice. Looks like a new IMMU thingy is needed. Any ideas to the best place to get one fast ?

More disappointing than angry with an auto supplier using e-bay.
Place an order and paid on the 17th April, its still not here, maybe tomorrow?
Tracking with Aus post shows latest update on the 26th.
Their site says delivery should have been between 21st to 27th April.
They used to be so good to deal with, got to wonder what has happened.
Sure there are supply issues sometimes, as the order is for 3 items they could send what they have or at least contact me to let me know what is happening.
Two and a half weeks when they were basically overnight is as the opening line says... disappointing.

Auspost. Had the same issue when my redarc was arriving that store in Bairns dale. They sent it gave me tracking the same day of purchase. Then it was stuck with auspost for 8 days God knows where. Tracking bar code and sticker on the parcel proved the day of send so the store wasn't bullshitting me .

Winnie it says on e-bay, sent on 26th, 9 days after payment.

So both are causing the delay

Cuppa
3rd May 2016, 08:55 AM
I've bought from that vendor on numerous occasions & although I've recommended them both on price & the fact that they are official Redarc re-sellers (so Redarc warranty applies - unlike some ebay sellers) on a number of occasions I have always found their communication to be virtually non existent. I learned years ago just to trust that my orders from them would arrive, which they always have. All vendors may have supply delays at times, & a little communication can go a long way & in an instance like this I reckon it might be well worthwhile sending autoelecau a polite reminder of that.

Cuppa, I have done exactly that with no response as yet, the money disappears from my Paypal account in an instant. Maybe they leave it there until dispatch. Fat chance of that happening.

It's the total lack of communication that is the problem, if its a quick transaction there really isn't any need for comms. It's when the delivery is delayed a bit of information would be nice.

While typing this the door bell rang, so now it is delivered.

Auspost give me the shits. I don't understand how things like that can take 9 days but it happens often. I always track my deliveries and they do sit in one place for days at a time. It has taken 2 weeks for me to get something from Melbourne (150km away)

The list of things the pup has destroyed because its too wet to go out.

1 shoe cupboard, I had to screw some sheet metal around the bottom, replace the screws on the hinges, and fit a lock.
2 packets of ping pong balls
1 pot plant which had mint planted in it.
3 shoelaces
1 camping chair, which she used to sit on.

We bought a watch for one of our workers from Donington in England, it took 3 & 1/2 days to be delivered to our door in Old Bar, amazing service!

Aus Post here loses our outgoing invoices regularly, we send reminders and the customers ring up very upset.

The Aus Post response is to register each individual letter at extra cost and time. And to ice the cake we have never been asked which post office we use, there might be a common denominator that can be traced and the problem fixed. A bloody lousy service, not what it used to be.

Copped my kids cold yesty. Feeling like total shite! Had to go to the dentist at 5.15. Got saturated going from my car to the dentist. I needed a busted tooth fixed, that I broke nearly 18months ago when we did a Tallarook trip, so I had to get a needle in the gum. No biggie. Had that many times before. The dentist got his Dremel out and started to lay into me and I near hit the roof. Another needle. No worries. But this time in the roof of my mouth! Hurt like a bitch but we got it done. The dentist takes an xray and says the tooth is shattered and cracked right through. He will need to drill right through it and pin it. Then rebuild over half the tooth as it was gone.
Before I leave the dentist says to me that once the drugs wear off you will feel some discomfort. But it will get better in time. I tried to respond but my numbed up mouth and lips like Marcia Hines with dribble coming out prevented any human like response. I just waved and left...
Discomfort! OMFG! The pain is that intense right now I can feel it down my neck and up in my eye socket. So as well as coughing, sniffing and sneezing, I got this massive tooth ache. I might just stay up all night tonight and cuddle my bottle of Jack in front of the telly and watch some SBS prOn. Lol.

My knee let go yesterday morning - ambulance and xray yesterday, GP today, Physio Monday, MRI Thursday next week, review on the 16th. That's if I have any money left.:furious:

Pinged it training mate, brazilian jiujitsu(pyjama wrasslin), two loud pops and a lot of pain. About a month ago now, no improvement so the physio told me i have to get an mri before we do anything further.

Turns out it appears to be an Aus Post problem, The item is not marked as sent until it passes through a scan at a major DC (distribution centre?) What happen in the 9 day from payment until then is the question.

Made a blue there, didn't accept the answers I was being given, ended up I have been banned from buying from them ever again!
I was supposed to suck it all up, but as I gave them a neutral feedback I am a customer that is in the "too hard basket".
In nearly 30 years of buying for our business, working as a purchasing officer for Siemens at Portland Smelter construction, as an acting engineer and electrical contract manager on various gold treatment sites across Australia I have never experienced something like this, ever.
Oh well suppose I have to buy from overseas now and not concern myself about Australian jobs. If it wasn't so funny I would cry LOL.

Edit;
Tracking says 9 days from order/payment to notification to Aus Post and 2 days later Aus Post processed order. Thinking Aus Post did their part.
I appear to have been lied to, they are blaming Aus Post yet they knew nothing about it.
Because I questioned this I was labelled a PITA customer and banned. Shame as they are generally a very good mob to deal with.

There is also anti-bacterial waterless hand wash in a "toothpaste" tube, a plumber put me onto it, he should know.
Keep a tube in your back pack or if your lady caries a hand bag, it is good stuff.
Good advise from Apollofish as well, our cruising friends say and do the same.

Dont the some CRD's have an issue with the oil pickup dropping off in the sump and therefor no pickup oil? I did read this somewhere. Either way not good. Under warranty i suppose but it would be interesting to see what the cause is and what Nissan do about it.

I forgot to mention this oil coming out the exhaust after it happeend, the towie put a rag in the pipe to stop it going everywhere.
Hopefully it was just the turbo...

I had issues when they sent mine. It ended up just sitting at the transport depot in Tullamarine for a few days and the transport co weren't sure if it was there. Then they'd say it was. I go to pick it up and i get there and then they'd say its not there. Rinse and repeat a few times it was there the whole time. I just boiled down to the guys you pick up from at the depot werent really looking to hard as they hold it in a separate area, security gate, same premises though, and it was a case of too hard for me, im not looking for it.
I clearly remember the guy at the depot whinging and whining every time i was there saying i dont get paid to look for parcels.
Sounds like they are doing it again.

We would do the same, but if there is a fire, we would loose power and be unable to contact emergency services. I used to have a mobile, but grew to absolutely hate it. Oh I think the whole network was screwed and way behind the times before him

Yes it was. I installed a switchboard, gpo's, and extended the earth grid at one of the local towers and the corporation that oversee's this whole shitfight didn't know their elbow from their arse. They told us how much they'll pay for the job, which had good margins.........cream margins actually, but kept making all these changes throughout the job wh7ch we just due to oversights on their behalf or the fact they had no farken idea what they were doing . Which is a variation of original plan...... turns the job into hourly rate. They change it again and again and add more stuff........more hour hourly rate, more cost for a farken simple job. I've been in mining and seen the incompetance the mining sector has to offer, but they have nothing on this mob. They wanted us to do more tower sites, even with the huge margins my boss didnt want to deal with their shit fight

Unfortunately like Ben-e-boy (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/member.php?1281-Ben-e-boy) we have to deal with these incompetent fools almost on a daily basis as they utilize our assets (poles).
Making it worse is the fact nearly all the desks / people we engage with are overseas with sub-par English.
The amount of $ wasted on large scale re-conductoring and pole replacement jobs that have gone ass over head due to Telstra is absolutely staggering.

Pull the flare seals out and chuck em. They just keep sh!t in behind and water out.. Then give the flares a good flush every wash. You would not believe how much wet mud is at the bottom of those flares. Found out when i pulled the flares off mine once. Seals gone for good and much less mud stays there when you can run good water behind them.

happygu
22nd May 2016, 08:34 AM
There is a gap in the back of the flare - right in the middle of the wheel arch. Spray the hose in there both ways, towards the front, and then towards the rear until the water runs clear ..... I do that as the first thing, whilst I am cleaning out the wheel arches.

Also the small rear barn door molding holds heap of dust too, so I do the same with the hose on the sides of the Patrol badge ... takes a little longer than the flares usually

This makes cleaning the rest of the car easier later on when you are washing the dirt off .... no mud streaks

Sorry to hear about your back Jon. i have had some moments with replacement hips and such like so I have some idea of what you are going through. About the alternator, I have done two over the years and both due to water. One going for a bit of a swim and one because I got over enthusiastic with a pressure washer. Wondering if yours has anything to do with your recent burst hoses and if some water got to the alternator?
