Not soo much mad, but annoyed as hell when I realised the oil sump plug is like 23mm, and I don't have anything her to fit it :( like I was expecting the good old 1/2 inch socket plug, nice and easy, looks like I'll be getting a new socket set for early Chrissy present [emoji6]

Know that feeling, my Samsung S4 sh!t itself a few weeks back, pretty much lost all my contacts:(. Believe its just a faulty power switch.

Good news is, I should have a new power switch for it by thew 24th and hopefully my old man can solder and put the new one in for me.

So is it BBQ and beers by the pool at yours today????? *L*

I've got a first gen moto g. The screen has been cracked for a while and now the LCD has packed up. Not all stores stock parts for this phone. EBay has then but will need to see if it's the same as doing an iPhone, no gluing anything.

As for the BBQ and beers by the pool, I haven't even seen any of it since Thursday.....

You could just buy a 23mm socket, but would be much nicer getting a full set as you can never have too many tools.

Mate, to use the S4 or a lot of Androids / Galaxies, you would have had to enter your google account / email , which in turn should have backed up your contacts ..... Unless you didn't let it or chose not to ??
Maybe contacts are backed up to your google account ??

I am hoping it is though... Housing isn't bent, I checked that. Everything seems plum. Where the seal sits in had a few scrapes in it. I cleaned it up and the new oem rubber encased seal fits quite tight in there still. The inner wheel bearing has worn a groove against the hub seal runner, and the wheel bearings keep going out of adjustment because of this. I have already replace the lhs stub axle and that side is now all good. Just hoping....

2015 has certainly been one to forget for the kids health, they seem to just get over one thing and get something else the next month.

It's never anything life threatening or serious, (so you don't want to complain because there's other families and kids going through far worse), it'd just be nice to have some good health for a while! Joys of having a 3 and 4 yo I guess!!

and I had my 2 weeks off I ended up buying a 750 4 honda custom painted black with a white strip
Over the years kept with the 750 in many guises sometimes it was bored to 900cc but the fastest was
when it was bored to 810cc, It ate 1100cc Kwakas and I mean ate them, had a V4 750 but didnt like
the small front wheel, wife went into hospital saw the 1100r and fell in love, Worked at a lot of places as a bike mechanic
over the years. but sadly only look now. Harleys weren't around till about late 70s early 80s if that
most rode Triumph or BSA both cheap being ex cop bikes.
Raced production and unlimited in WA and here in Vic nothing fancy but was competitve I think

Not angry but very very sad to see the devastation that has happened in Yarloop overnight, pretty much the town wiped out by bushfire, the news is saying 95 homes, shops, the pub and the steam workshops all gone. The steam workshops was one of the best museums i have ever been to, i feel absolutely gutted for all the volunteers and all their hard work they've put in over the years turning it into a great tourist attraction.

Thankfully so far there has been no reported loss of life, here's hoping that remains the same.

Sunday Evenings.

Why do Sunday Evenings make me angry?
Well that is because I am a diagnosed Dickhead Intolerant
Dickheads make me angry, very angry and Sunday Evenings are followed by Monday which is a work day.

Note, that, as a Public Sector employee I use the term work in the generic sense... anyway, to continue

I, unfortunately for me, work with a couple of absolute Dickheads
If there was a Nobel Prize for Dickhead these two would have to share it but at least they would win every year
If Dickheadability could be harnessed as a weapon we would be a new world super power.
A test of their blood for the presence of Dickheadedness would give a reading higher than Anakin Skywalkers Midi-chlorian count
If all the other Dickheads in the world could be gathered together and pitted against these two in a Dickhead Competition Australia would have another Cup for the Trophy Cabinet in perpetuity or at least till they both expire.

So, therefore when followed to its logical conclusion Sunday Evenings make me angry

P.S. stand by for a follow up post in the 'What made you Happy today' Thread in 5 days...

There was a little shudder in the steering and i commented on it only 10min earlier but sometimes after big trips in rough conditions this is not unusual so dismissed it .

The tyre went after i had overtaken a lady who sped up on my left while a car was up my ass so i put my foot into it to get ahead of the car so i ould return to the left lane when it went bang... it was like an explosion and my right ear still hurts.

I have a mate that gets stupidly good deals on tyres but needed to wait a few more months before I can afford some... this may force my hand as one other tyre has a crack that goes all around the side where the tread meets the sidewall.

When I bought the GUIV in 2009 it had Cooper ST on the car and a Cooper AT 80% on the back door.

In 2010 I did a trip to Beachport SA with the family. Had a great trip. On the last beach on the last day 50m from the gate I hit a rock and smashed my front left rim. Tyre was undamaged but flat. I fitted my spare.

The following day I was traveling home on the Sunday in 42degrees. I was towing my camper with my kids in the back and Naomi was following in my Ute.

At 100km/h my front left let go 5 hours from home.

The front of the car lifted and lost control for a second. I thought I hit a cow or something from the left I had not seen. There was a big flash of something but I had no idea what it was. Scared the sh1t out of me. I regained control and pulled over.

Naomi pulled up behind me, hot out and the front left had fully delaminated but remained inflated. WTF!!!!

Naomi turned around and went and collected the Full a Length Delaminated Tread and put it in the back of the ute.

I drove 120kms on that carcass at 60km/h and limped into Mortlake at 2pm on a Sunday in 42degrees.

Holy Sh1t!!

There was a Cooper Dealer Closed in town. Called him up and a guy came in and Swapped the good tyre off the rooted rim on the door and got me back on the road. My camper was running 35s so I couldn't use that spare.

The COOPER Dealer charged me $120 to swap the tyres over.

The following day I called Cooper Australia. The delaminated tyre was date stamped and 4 years old. (Cooper offer 5 year warranty only, anything over 5 years is to old) happy days I thought?????

No way!! "Obviously it's a different tread pattern to the rest of the car so has not been rotated with the other tyres and has cooked on the back door! Sorry sir we can't warranty that!" "What about the $120 your dealer charged me?" "Sorry sir no warranty. Would you like a free Hat?"

Seriously!!! WTF!!!

Never Ever will I buy a Cooper Tyre again! Ever.

Scary whats happened mate glad you're fine.

I have actually walked into a shop committed to buy cooper tires twice! Cashed up ready to buy! And have actually had the bloke in the shop talk me out of it both times. Coopers were dearer than what I actually bought in the end... So the bloke could have easily sold me the coopers and made the bonus on his end... But they were honest about them and strayed me away, for which I am now very glad.

Ever.

Been reading the warranty in all the big name's, mickeys , coopers, bfg etc. all read the same , none are covered if used offroad , and especially if run under inflated , ie aired down for beach , bush etc

Yeah, gotta agree, I haven't seen any warranty better than another in the big names.

Between myself and a couple of other mates we would have easily clocked up a couple of million K's on Coopers without an issue.
Never been able to figure out why some people have horror runs and others don't.

Yeah one of the neighbours for sure. I must admit I could see it coming. End of our court is circular and it's as if they've designed it like a sound chamber, when I start the car in the morning, it is fairly loud and echoes ti every single house. So I could see how someone would get annoyed, especially 6 in the morning when I go to work, etc...

To get it tested it's about $45. I didn't get a fine, just a notice to act on. I just hope it passes even with muffler on.

Meh more reason to sink the right foot and let it growl.
There is a sound monitor app you can download and then find out the regs to measure the sound and see for yourself if it will pass. How accurate it will be not sure but it might give you an idea atleast.

A mate had a problem with his GQ when going over the pits, he initially had a 3" straight through with hotdog and it didn't pass by 1DB so then he put a second one it and it passed.

Get on to the insurance co. If its not livable they'll put you up somewhere.

We had the 2 inches of water throughout 1/2 of our house a couple years back. Burst flexi hose. Insurance co was very helpful.

Ordering stuff off the internet!!! I received my new scopemeter and it turns out to be a very agricultural unit. It was supposed to read up to 600 Volts on the oscilloscope. The probe is rated to that on the times ten attenuation (scale) but the unit is only rated at 300V. And one of the slide switches is a bit sus, which causes the voltage to fluctuate.
To top it off, it reads 100 volts as 10 volts. I waited nearly a month to get it. What a POS.

Here goes my first rant; wake to a txt saying my truck won't be ready till 4 am, ok I can deal with that thanks for the heads up. Get to work, more like truck not ready till nearly 5am, set off, hit bad traffic, get to my drop, pouring rain, get soaked, forky goes to smoko, finally get unloaded, head round to my pick up, been sitting here now waiting for over 2 hours with no end in sight. And now I just find out that I have to do another pick up when I get out of here! Happy farking Friday! Looking like I should have said "Yes dear I will be home just after dinner". Rant over
