I have been going up the High Country for years through Mansfield and have never been pulled up by the Police or put through a Road Check.
Maybe it is because I am a staid old bugger driving stock standard Nissan Patrols LMAO
Same here never even seen a police car up Mansfield way, but if your Patrol
is 6" high with 37" tyres and lights everywhere let alone covered in mud, well do the math

I had a pretty decent trail bike stack up those mountains that way around 15years ago. The handle bar clipped a rock wall in top gear. I had two finger broken sideways, snapped ligaments in my wrist, and punctured my stomach with the handle bar. My bike was fubar and un-rideable. Anyhow luckily I carried a small first aid kit, and I was sitting there on the track with the co riders strapping me up and the fuz came up the track and saw the mess, blood all over me and my gear, and continued to drive past without even asking if I was o.k. Four hours later we got me back to camp, and we started packing up. The same cops came into our camp and drove toward us. Well, did they get an earfull from me. They had the gawl to threaten me with abuse and arrest me. I told them to kcuf off and do some work for a change rather than cruising the hills. He wasn't impressed to say the least.
Two years later, back up there, same copper pulled me over for no number plate on my bike. It had just fallen off and I had it in my bum bag. Copped a fine, even though a corner of the number plate was still bolted to the guard so you could clearly see it broke off.
Seems nothings changed...

Bollocks & double bollocks! $293 & 3 demerit points for doing 60kph outside a school. First time I’d been on that street, didn’t know there was a school there or that it was only 3:30pm. Copper was parked immediately after the school with speed detector. I’m not pissed with him, he was polite enough, just pissed with myself for being such a drongo. Gonna be in the sh*t when MrsTea gets home. It’s gotta be close to 15 years since I last got a ticket. Bollocks!

Get a call Wednesday from the slaughter house telling me my steers have not arrived. After some calling to the driver find he has taken them to a different place. Call said abbatoir and after checking they tell me they have them and were about to kill them. When I ask them did they get paperwork with them they tell me NO. I ask how they can accept cattle without a waybill and they just say it happens and they just thought they were theirs, WTF
Long story short, have claimed my cattle and they are now hanging in the cool room and said abbatoir is about to cop a big fine from the State Govt department for livestock for accepting cattle without a waybill. The whole time the driver and receiving abbatoir basicallymdidn't care they had stuffed up and I couod have been 360kg of pasture reared beef out!

I believe that they increased all the fines for company vehicles to stop taxi's / freight companies claiming they didn't know who was driving the vehicle and paying the fine instead of nominating (i.e. no loss of demerit points and drivers stay on the road to make money)

They are, according to the article:
Mr Carroll said due to car security systems, thieves favoured first stealing car keys, which were often taken in home break ins.
“People need to be aware of their keys, don’t keep them in view, don’t just put them on the kitchen counter, put them out of site,” he said.

Really pi55ed off, setup the camera to capture the Red Moon eclipse. Great location and view, took over 200 pictures from start to finish.
Go to download to PC and there are only five pictures on the camera. No idea what happened as I checked a couple of pictures during filming as they looked great.
Will check in the morning if they have somehow deleted and and I can undelete. damn damn damn
There's a heap of free downloadable programs that will recover deleted content. Nothing actually gets deleted off sd cards, hard drives etc.
The file location gets flagged as a free space so the photo will still be there if nothing has filled the spot.
Give it a quick Google

Thanks mjr350,
Unfortunatly looks like the card is cactus, tried two of these programs and all they could recover was five pictures. It's a 64G card and would have had 1000's of pics on it that have been deleted in the past 12 months.
I picked up a 32G card from Officeworks yesterday, camera seems fine so must be the card. I'll try the one you linked so fingers crossed.

I cleaned out one of our water tanks the other day, and noticed that rats had dug under the tank. Today I used the Old Trol's winch to try and tip the tank off its sand pad. The damn winch just dragged the tank off the pad, so now I have to find a way to put the tank back after the pad is concreted.

So if its empty just shuffle it back on to the pad looks like its only a 5000l tank pad

I've owned a Jack Russel Cross. Never again. YAP YAP bloody YAP YAP! He wouldn't do a damn thing we tried to train him. He killed everything from birds, rats, lizards, flies, bats to beetles, crickets and rabbits. We put a bell on his collar to stop him killing the native birds but he would run in and scare the birds away from the bottle brushes then settle in to wait for them to come back. He would jump up and snap the poor buggers out of the sky.

Our wall oven shit itself two weeks before Christmas. Got a new one from good guys - oops no stock in Perth have to come from Melbourne - cupla days. You guessed it, didn't turn up until new year.
Installation agreed for about $200.00. Got home, very bad installation (off center in wall) and a bill for nearly $600.00. "Sorry mate we had to upgrade the wiring from the meter box".
Went berserk and told him what I thought. Got a phone call later from his missus saying I had reduced him to tears and he was in shock. He had never had a complaint before.
Over it - paid the bill and just got on with life.

And it'll be bottle. Mains gas stops 4 doors down.

Yea Winnie, lecy oven but gas cook tops.
Um what's wrong.
Well 3 out of 4 of the cook tops and the grill thermostats don't work so there either flat out or off.
And today the oven won't heat. Fan goes and but no heat.
So been quoted $200 a thermostat plus install. And God knows what's wrong now.

That's not cheap. Try an electrical wholesaler and you'll get it all a fair bit cheaper.
But yeah the cost is still a big fraction of the cost of replacement
