So today started off good but went to the s**thouse.
done the swivel hub and bearings as the oil seal crapped out and ruined the bearing, swapped out the wheel hub as it was damaged .
Then the day just turned upside as the draglink tie rods thread was damaged and wouldn't bolt on. went about with a file and tried filing away the damage but still wouldn't play nice. So I have to get a thread tap kit and try that tomorrow.
Tucker's law has been very effective today.

Just got a call from my missus, she's been at the Australian institute of sport all weekend at a workshop, had a great time, just finished and went to the carpark to drive the 7hrs back to Melbourne only to find that some grub has put a rock through her window, rifled through her car and stolen her F**KING battery and a recovery kit. She's on the phone to the cops now.

Lowlife scum. Anyone who would do something like that deserves a hiding.

To say I'm guttered is an understatement!

I've been dreaming for a spot like this for many years and found this gem only 45 minutes from my place on a river to build a container home on.

Put a very decent offer in, had pre approval to extend the home loan, I was committed and shitting myself on repayments.

Silent auction ended an hour ago and I missed out by how much, who knows!

Never doing a silent auction again, did my head in for the last 2 weeks!

Yes that type of auction is the most painful, you should just keep looking and offer as many as you can and daunt be afraid to ask for a small bit from larger plots they may be able to split some of for you.

Some times there's a bidder who just wants it no mater the price.

That would really pi55 me off, what ever happened to neighbourly cooperation and consideration. Recall an Australian Story episode in WA where a neighbour grew GM Canola next to an organically certified farm, then wind-rowed it during high winds. GM farm lost its accreditation and when he took the farmer to court for damages he lost as the neighbour was backed by the GM seed producer.

About a week, ODA (Oregon Department of Agriculture) will be out tomorrow. Triclyphor will stay in the plants quite awhile. Just need to establish a drift line (multiple samples) from his place to mine plus the video I shot of him spraying will help. Not sure if there is damage yet, given the state of the vines, shutting down quickly, I hope we dodged a bullet or two. No one wins here (USA) except the lawyers.

Thankfully nothing else major and the Mechanic, who is a legend btw matched the price of the Excedy Safari HD I could get from Northern Brake & Clutch and did the work at cost but still a grand I really didn't have to spend right now!

Well, it fuckin shits me. I had to drive half way up a cliff cos some retard couldn't move over in his pink jeep. What sort of bloke drives a pink jeep in public anyway ? And the 60 hit a FJ 40 with his mirror cos the dick was going too fast around the corner. But, on a positive note, they do stop in a hurry when you steer towards them.

The hawks winning the flag for 3 reasons.
1. It wasn't Collingwood.
2. It wasn't a decent game, the Eagles were just overrun.
3. The Hawks are getting too close for comfort to the Magpie's four wins in a row.

Ha ha, when my daughter was young I explained one of the important things in life. With Collingwood, people either love them or hate them. We don't love them! "But Dad, you're not supposed to hate are you?" It's ok, there are special rules just for Collingwood. :)

They had any easy win today, but would find it hard to think they could do it again next year. I guess your 4 in a row will hold up.

All the cooling part should all be together, as everything had its spot or a container, everything else is there where I originally left it, except these items

Just got notice today that I'm being made redundant. 24 years & 11 months in the same job. Finishing up in a month. Leaving or retiring in my on time & terms would have been more satisfying. Not happy. Apparently they can get someone who can do my job better & cheaper if they out-source. Good luck with that, it never works.

Oh well ... I might retire, more time to go "Patroling".

Go to SCA and get a propane torch and bottle. About 20 bux or so and hit it with some heat. I have one and used it on many occassions for things like that. Plus they are awesome for getting those campfires going quick on a cold morning.

I had the same problem, trouble is what I did has already been suggested for you and not worked. For what its worth, I just kept squirting WD40 and Inox into it. Then heated it with a torch and tapped it side to side until I got some movement. Then I hammered it using a drift (bit of old steel axel) on the ball and nut (ouch) and it came out , albeit a mm at a time. I still had it mounted on the truck which made hammering it out a bit easier.
love the smell of burning Inox in the morning.

Yeh I'm process of getting a few quotes at the moment, most likely going to get ATOC to get it done. They seem pretty reasonable and competent - plus their vendor thread has good reviews as well. You need to make sure you lube them up when installing otherwise they grip and do what you have pictured. Most likely not the seals fault and even a genuine item will do the same if not lubricated when fitted

Dont have those Nic...

Going by the looks of it, they were either installed back to front or the ball section is too badly pitted and just grabbed the seal and pulled them out. Which I think the latter is correct. They look pretty dry and dirty. When changing those seals its a good idea to rub the ball section down with emery paper to make them smooth and then just coat them with a fine smear of grease.

Well the kicker is that they were done at the Nissan dealer just 2 months ago. Guess they don't even know what they're doing.

Are you saying to just lube the ball section or lube the seal as well? I need to be able to tell the shop exactly what to do since they obviously messed it up the first time.

I'm not holding my breath for any kind of warranty, but we'll see what happens. Over here I have to source all the parts myself and then take them to the dealer to replace. They may try to find a loophole with that and the fact it was done 2 months ago. 30 days is usually the max on any kind of labor warranty.

how do you know mate? were there any signs that the package had been damaged or opened? if it was important why didnt he send it in a plastic parcel bag? either way i would be taking both transactions up with paypal and letting the seller reclaim his goods or money from auspost. youve copped enough stress already!
