I did plan to but hand brake wasn't hold well enough for me to be confident to jump out of the car..
I'll take the wife for a drive out there as its very mild and she'll enjoy it i think. .
Now I need to learn how to adjust the hand brake.

Had one of those mornings where everything went right. Wired up the trailer plug everything worked. Towpro works. Rear acc plug installed and working. guess im finished with the dodgy wiring. Removed the console bit between the front seats without frustration or pulling half the patrol apart. Finished some wiring on the camper. went to work boss was in a good mood. Time to crack a beer

Just gave the high mount a serious test out.
Got a text from my cousin who got a call from a mate of his, bloody bloke was drifting his gq on a dirt road, lost it and hit a tree and rolled down an embankment. So we headed off there and found him on his roof.
Hooked 2 high mounts on to it and got him back on his wheels and out of the bank.
It was an RB30, he then started the car and drove it home!

High mounts are awesome!!

Petrol is around 10-12 cents cheaper than diesel atm... Yet 2 months ago, it was the reverse - I'll never understand the ebbs and flow of fuel prices, I've just accepted that someone along the line will always be ripping us off!

And you bent the pin..... learnt from that and would winch for that type of recovery now.
I can't remember the last time I did a snatch recovery. It used to always be my first port of call but now always prefer to winch. It is safer and sometimes quicker.

I'll have to do something. But the way the pipes are shaped, if I move it away horozontally, then the bit that goes over the rear diff is hitting other components... The straight through pipe wasn't doing this. More reason to put it back on. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Yep glad it's Friday and the beer is deliciously cold (coopies of course).

Picked up the 4WD and is slightly different with the new fuel pump! Up from 81 kw to 121 at the back wheels. The top end is pretty crazy now really pulls from about 2400. Bottom end is proably more noticeable (as in lacking) in comparison to on boost as old school safari turbo takes a while to spool. Went for a spin up the big toolangi hill and to kinglake, noticed temp rised a fraction hopefully won't be an issue but will keep an eye on it. EGTs were good.

Good one Rossco. Ill give you a drag mate for comparison. But ill have a handicap of a 1.5t camper in tow. Lol.
You recommend these guys?
I eventually will go 4inch right through for the intake, and want to change the intake manifold and get another tune. I have oodles of power, for me, sideways times can be had in the wet, but i just like to tinker. Lol
Buuùt, the clutchis goibg to go bang soon i reckon. At idle it sounds like im rattling a reindeers bell from under the car.
So a UFI lutch looks to be in order, just wonderibg if i should get an alloy flywheel while im at it.

Great news for me. I've been wanting to leave for a while now, but having been here for almost 18 years I got a lot in this place. They can't force me to move so they will have to pay me out.
