yeah it was, scratches got infected all the time(you cannot stop her from playing outside)she'd scratch in her sleep all night so that what they came up with, helped heaps.once she stop the infections went away and we all cope a lot better.

Back burning is the best prevention.
Always use to do it back home..
Technically its not back burning, But a controlled burn. Back burning is used specifically as a firefighting strategy to deprive an oncoming fire of fuel. Either in a direct attack to the approaching fire or to widen an existing containment line (line of non-combustible material in the path of a fire eg. road, raked trail or burnt area)
Hazard Reduction The removal of flammable fuels in bush or grassland areas so as to reduce the intensity of a wild fire if it were to occur. Hazard reduction can be done by hand clearing, machine clearing or prescribed burning. Prescribed Burning Also known as “burning off”, “hazard reduction burning” or “controlled burning”.
Back burning is NOT hazard reduction

My oldest friend, who I have known since I was 8 (I'm now 40) has come through for me.....
I needed a road bicycle to take part in the ride to conquer cancer for Peter Mac hospital here in Vic and had hoped to borrow one from someone for the next 10 months while I train for it and ride it. Anyway being an ironman triathlete he has a few and has loaned me one of his.....amazing, full carbon Scott R3 beast. A great ride!
Even better, he's going to come down from Sydney and ride the 200km with me in support.

Is this ride a 1 day deal or over a couple of days
Couple of days mate......I'm going to post up a link soon to my fundraising site. Need to fundraise $2500 to ride.
My regular ride is a Matts TFS900 hard tail that has been flogged on some nice single track over the years so not much chop for a road ride but has done me until now.
I've just started ramping up to 50km rides as part of my recovery and doing ok, though the road bike will make it heaps easier to do the miles.

10th January 2014, 08:27 PM
Good on you mate great to see you guys riding for a good cause.
My son rides in the Bupa Challenge each year. this is a ride which is ridden over and before a stage of the Tour Down Under. The stage is normally run on the Friday before the Sunday finish. This year it goes from Unley which is about 2 Ks from the city center to Victor Harbor a distance of about 155 Ks. The coarse will be reasonably hilly with a few easy stretches. There are a bout 4 different lengths so if you please you can do halve or less.
My son will do the whole length and hopes to complete it in well under 5 hours. His bike is a Giant TCR fitted with MadFiber carbon wheels which is not a bad bit of kit either.
All the best to you and all who ride for your chosen charity
By the way I drive the team car as we can follow him so I`m out the learning to a 4x4 like a team manager in a Skoda

Had two wins today.
1. Have been cleaning up the property, getting all the metal together to go into a skip for the scrap metal man. One piece of scrap is the old motor from our bus. I believed the fuel pump from it had been removed & used on the replacement motor, but found it still bolted to the old motor today. Removed it for a spare. The old motor ran well with it, so it should be good.
2. We have had an old Leyland terrier truck sitting rotting away in our paddock, unmoved since 2006. Moss has grown over the windscreen, birds have nested inside the cab. The bodywork has more rust holes than body .......& that’s all the good stuff. I’ve tried several times unsucessfully to interest wreckers in coming to tow it away on a low loader, none were interested. A few weeks ago I found someone interested through an historic commercial vehicle online forum. He reckoned he’d try & get it going. I told him he was wasting his time. Today, after several weekends working on it, getting it’s P76 motor running, & fitting a few parts from his own truck, he drove it out of our property this evening. Brakes were still very iffy, relying on the emergency air brake, for a 25km downhill run to near Yarram. This bloke, Rick, is a true bush mechanic & well suited for his entry in the Shitbox Rally (http://www.shitboxrally.com.au) later this year.

The Portland lee break water is pretty well picked clean. The fishermen get pretty irate at anyone snorkelling near their lines as well. I've been accused of scaring away their fish. The opposite is true. I have snorkelled near a bunch of kids that were jumping off the tide marker and there was a school of fish swimming in and around them.

Seeing its gone tough you can chase it down my leg. It was a big sucker.
Unfortunately Dad has chronic spider veins and mum has shocking varicose veins.. So pretty much farked either way you look at it..
I had to have it done due to the rupture, so that's life.
Also TD, this treatment has no open wounds. We'll in my case it did where it ruptured. But normaly they inject this stuff into the vein which dissolves the vein wall and the body heals itself, removing the vein.
But yes, keeping the area where it popped nice and clean..

those early lux were not built tuff at all not sure which part but the pitman arm is so
under engineered . A few mates have been driving along pitman snaps and you end up in the bush.
needless to say they sold them shortly after

Still haven't opened it. Been trying to find someone to replace my mum timber fence with a colourbond fence.

I know SWMBO, but for the life if me I can't get it.

Happy to see you're still around. Was starting to wonder if you'd been kidnapped by those strange Tasmanians and looked away in a dark room.

a few windscreen mounts arrived this morning,
so now hopefully I can mount my ECU-scan I brought off Yendor.
Remarkable bit of kit. Good thing was I had no errors.
Also ordered a leather case for my TX6200 GME hand held, it has taken ages to
arrive after umpteen emails , with no reply I emailed this morning stating I have no option
left but to report them to Ebay, Whats made me happy, full refund and a free leather case

Heard that they caught the bastard that was lighting fires around my area, he has been linked to 7 fires but probably lit more than 20 over the past few weeks.
He was in court today and was refused bail so that's a good start.

Purchased a No Name 2KVA Generator off Ebay for $108.50.
Warehouse Clearance of Returned Generators with Faults or Damage.
Opened Parcel and one Panel had a Crack in it. Opened all Panels and inside looked quite OK.
Filled with Petrol & Oil and it started on 2nd Pull. So far so good.
attached to the Caravan and turned on internal Lights . Again so far so Good.
Then took the Plunge and turned on the Air Conditioner in the Caravan and the Generator increased the Revs and handled the Air Conditioner easy.
Very Happy Chappie.
Don't usually use a Generator but will be OK on certain occasions.

I certainly see it differently,
Re un answered threads with lots of looker's and no replies must be like me with nothing worthwhile or constructive to say.
So many people joining daily I don't have the inclination to read all of them, and all of the replies so I will remain dis-courteous.
What you do is up to you but if I give you the shites... well I don't know what to say to you.
Plus I don't want to use all my words up.
Women speak about 20,000 words a day while men only speak 7,000
The stereotype is pervasive: women are talkative, men are not. Women love to share their feelings and talk things to death, while men are stoic and don’t feel the need to chat as much. It turns out that the basic fact behind this stereotype are true: women do speak more than men.
A lot more. Women have been found to speak about 20,000 words per day while men only speak about 7,000 words. That’s quite the difference. It turns out that women speak faster as well—sometimes twice as fast.
In good faith.

Yeah the current job is fine but it's a bit of a hike to work and it's basically stuff I have always done. The one I'm going for an interview for is a good opportunity and it's industrial hydraulics, something I find interesting and 5 min from home.
