I bloody forgot about this show, and missed out again. Next year....

You didn't miss too much mate. Same 'ol as last year, less exhibitors and less people in there though this time, and not so good "show" prices on a lot of items. Was nice to see some interesting stuff and ideas though and speak to people with common interests.

Yeh I found the exact same thing last year, even the wallan 4wd show this year wasn't the best compared to previous events

Fixed the stupid arse Sub Tank transfer system Nissan designed for the last time.
Admittedly I'm running a 12 volt "Facet" pump and a dummy load so not factory...
BUT...
Next time that stupid computer spits it and locks out the transfer then in the bin it goes.

FYI for everyone, to reset the Sub Computer just pull the 7.5 amp "elec" fuse (#24 IRRC) above the Sub Tank fuse
Beats arrsing around disconnecting the freaking battery (on my Ute at least anyway)

As I am typing this I am
watching a family of
white-wing choughs (Chuffs)
foraging for for food under
the Blackwood wattles in
the paddock. According to
my bird encyclopedia,
choughs stay together in
family groups for all of
their lives. They share
their food and play together.
Hmmm, seems like a good
way to exist.

Are they a cob branded alternative to heat beads?

pearcey

Been doing Cobb cooking for many years and tried the Cobb green stuff once then back to heat beads.
We only use top quality beads and never have any problems.(don`t use cheap ones)
You may need to experiment to find the right number of beads for different things but once you get it right you will use the Cobb all the time
Good luck

Peugeot Ludix Blaster, not sure if it still is but it was the fastest 50cc scooter you could by from 2006 to 2009. I've had mine for 9 years now and I have to say, it's the most fun I've had on a motorized 2 wheeler without needing a bike license, less than $10 a week on fuel and rego of $84 a year.

that's not you, you're poofy than that bloke

Well happy today, if I wasn't so pissed off and sleep deprived it would have made it in the angry thread yesterday.

We have had what I would call a minor blockage throughout our sewer over the last couple of weeks. Had someone come out that specializes in unblocking drains on Friday afternoon and was quoted $570. Couldn't do it then and there so it was booked in for Wednesday. Got really bad on Tuesday night while I was at work. Wednesday morning after work he showed up and ran his hose into a overflow point which was the furthers point from the sewer pit, without success. We tried to locate the sewer near the pit and without knowing where it was he made a call to city was water for a location of it still unable to find it, city west water don't have plans that the plumber was meant to submit. he regretfully left after spending nearly 4 hours without asking for a cent. He did tell me to call city west water again and say that my plumber had run his jet hoses through my system and beyond my boundary line he believes that the blockage is within the pit.

Well they were out at my place in 90 minutes, 20 after that he found the sewer and was feeding a drill looking head into my pipe and about 2 meters in he pushed really hard and got it though. Success......

Packed up and went onto his next job, because the problem was closest to the pit and the pit is theirs there was no charge.

I rang the original plumber back as he wanted to see an outcome and explained what happen. He was wrapped that it got sorted out.

He did leave behind some tools and I told him that I'm today if he wants to pick them up, will try to slip him a 100 just for getting me out of the sh!t, literally.
So not all tradies are A holes. This guy works for Plumb First very professional. Jobs quoted before they begin so you know what your up for straight away.

After the stuff up of the iPhone which I had to buy another one, this one worked out nicely for a change.

Now to have lunch and catch up on the forum.

Mind you this is the first time in 25 yrs someone from any insurance Co has rung enquiring about my needs.
It is a real morale booster thats for sure. Its hard to understand I suppose but just sitting waiting for a reply since early Feb

There are one or two on this forum in the same boat. That is what has made me happy knowing someone is listening.

@ MR happy with the Terrain Tamer Remote cannister shocks dont want to appear too greedy.
Happy they are giving me shocks, and a seat, plus Ill also request a Black duck seat cover to
protect it.

Check out this Patrol adding up all the mods it comes out at over $100k, Its running
a Duramax diesel with 5 tunes on the dash, 37" tyres ,fox 2.5's just to name a few.
This to me is the "ULTIMATE Patrol" made me happy seeing it. lol

And the say the Mining boom is over! It made a build like that possible. Nice car.

Congrats to Mags mate. She deserves this for sure. Now you just got to get off your arse and stop being such a bludger :)

That was the plan with Alexander starting school next year it frees up a lot of time so I can either look for part time work or study maybe... still not sure yet?

Mags has just told me she will be off to England mid to late August to meet with head office.... she will be away for my birthday.

I dont think the TJM ones are any cheaper.See the Doc next week so he can write the letter
requesting these mods. Fingers crossed , but sounded like a done deal over the phone

Just drive to Pakenham to pick up the last of my winch bits so I now have a complete high mount...
Then I come home to dinner being served up, delicious red wine beef casserole with mash spud... I should marry this girl!

I don't think he realised how heavy they were until he picked them up either. Gave me a bit extra for the rear work light frame as well
