Knowing AVO remembered me. And yes mate the van is stocked with many goodies, Bison Grass, and now a great Vodka made by Lark , along with a variety of fine scotches and liqueurs.
All ready had a few days at Tassie Wombats, great bloke and family. Will do the surprise drop in on TasLucas one day.
Watch out bloke.
If any Tassie folks want a meet up PM me .Heading to Cockle Creek for a week or so from the 24th. then heading to the trout country.

Me jealous? Nah not jealous at all.

Well not much.

Maybe just a bit.

OK more than a bit.

All right, bloody jealous!! I love Tassie. Cockle Creek and all Huon Valley is special! :(

Hope you enjoy it Pearcey, all that beautiful country and liquored up to the hilt. Jeez what a life.

You bastard :)

Just for a couple of you jealous blokes.
Found a little gin Distillery just out of Sorell, bugga that cost me a few bob.
Was told to dip the finger in and try some new straight ethanol which was ready to be barrelled, I told him forget the fancy flavoring, chuck it in a flagon and flog it straight up. Apparently this stuff was going to go into his personal stock, and I know why, it was fantastic.72576

This interview was a very different experience too, they were the ones who chased me and I had all the bargaining power at the table. I have a 1 month notice period and most likely will be placed on gardeners leave so looks like I might get to spend some time at home.

If they like you you'll get gardner's leave or even pay your month out. Unfortunately when I gave a month's notice 2 years ago the arsewipes I worked for kept me on and kept me dug me in deep! That was a very long 4 weeks!

Had not decided yet, have been planning the most time effecient way to get between all the locations and may alter things after speaking to some of the customers.
I have tried to plan it so I could do the Oodnadatta Track from Marree to Oodnadatta but would mean too much backtracking to visit some places.

Ah yes, my wife buys more so she can throw some out, not that they are stuffed or anything, just the wrong 'hue' for the year or whatever. Only ones in the house that get any joy out of 'em are they wife and the daughters dog, because he like to chew the shit out of them, which results in more pillows going in the bin and more cushions shopping. 8 week! 8 weeks with this piece of sh1t Samsung S8+ and Telrra have finally escalated my case and have agreed to let me out of the contract without an exit fee as long as I sign another contract. Iphone 7+ 240gig coming tomorrow....

Bring it... I HATE THIS PHONE.

Is there something wrong with it?......... Other than the user that is? ;)

Yeah I was getting call drop out and call quality issues that further compounded my frustration. I'd been told to ignore that as they will just swapnot for another S8 rather than iphone and Perdue the swap as I was in a strong position but then they just stopped communicating with me so I rang again yesterday and finally got some action.

I fair dinkum hate this thing mate. Such a pretty phone, going to.miss that but my god what a piece of junk every other part of it is. Dumb pgone . If I wanted a dumb phone I'd grab my old Nokia. The iphone will be like stepping back in time for the display quality but in Every othw r way it's a generation or 2 ahead of this thing.

Managed to repair a TV today instead of having to by a new one. It had been playing up for a few weeks then refused to turn on. Googled the model number & found a common problem with the power board blowing capacitors. Took the back off the TV & sure enough found 5 bulging capacitors.

Jumped on the Jaycar website & found the ones I needed on Monday morning & ordered them. Arrived this morning & took an hour to replace the faulty ones. Plugged the TV in & bingo, it works again. Pretty rapped as it was my first go at repairing electronics.

Cost $12.75 for the parts compaired to $300 plus for a new TV.

Gotta be happy about that!

Now were is that faulty UHF...............................

About to put mine in just after how you worked out the wires to pick up from for the on position and start position on the ignition? Also are you still running your high mount if so how did you go getting the spotties to fit nicely.

Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk Rossco I tapped mine into my Bogaard turbo timer (which was already installed on this new body). It was a case of tapping into the red and blue wires from the turbo timer. You will need to find out which wire is ignition & which is start coming from the key barrel and tap into that.

I have plates welded onto my bar which mount my spotties. The high mounts still on there (I need to wire it up though)

Hello all been a long time.

Had a positive day.
No work today so got to sort out a few things after a sleep in.. Ticked everything off my list.

Been keeping an eye on whats been going on. Rossco that's a top effort on the old girl. mudski I was talking to a mate who runs a real estate and your situation came up and as long as the previous owner knew what had to be done, which he clearly did you should be having a win. Good luck with it all.

Hopefully the next log in wont take sooooooo long..

Take care all.

Following on from the TV repair several weeks ago I was able to fix a Uniden UHO15SX UHF today. The radio sh#t itself 3 years ago & has been sitting on the bench ever since. I found out what the problem was back then but could not find where to get the component from. Checked back on a forum last week to find some new info & a link to a company that could supply the part.

Ordered it last week & it turned up today. A bit of soldering & the radio is up & running again. Seems it is a common problem with some Uniden & GME uhf`s. The radio will show a full signal bar on all channels but will transmit ok. Found a technician 6 months ago that would repair it for $80, Uniden charge about the same.

Part cost $3, took half an hour to repair, got to happy about that!.

Pic below of the faulty part, black rectangle with white dot, about 1 cm long.

Great stuff VK!

Now, I have a Miele dishwasher, model G 527 that let out an audible "pop" a few years ago and some smoke came up from behind. Can you fault find that for me? :D

I've never had it quoted but my hunch is it's a capacitor or something minor that someone's going to screw me on :)

Good Job. .. Recently, I was asked by Dad to have a go at repairing a Digitech UHF that he reversed polarity on. I thought it might be the protection diode.

Found that manufacturer had never soldered one in, so the chips were fried, (pardon the pun).

Yeah cool, brings me back to the days we used to do circuit board level repairs as an apprentice.
It was good fun troubleshooting faults. Used to remove 200 pin surfice mount chips at that stage but now we tend to throw shit away.

Not many things left that are able to be fixed. Single layer boards are still fixable if you give it a shot like you did , and well done!
Should be more of it.
