Haha yeah, I was a bit misleading there. I do like it, it just sounds like a vacuum cleaner droning on and on allllllllll day haha. I'm yet to hear one louder than mine. Doesn't start singing though until about 1200, but by the time youre grinding 3000 it sounds like a 747 taking off

Talking about turbo whistle - mate of mine just got the turbo off his 4.2 rebuilt , they rang up & said "are you aware the hose on the waste gate was blocked off ?"
"Yep i did it" he said
"Are you aware the turbo runs full boost all the time if it's blocked off ?"
"Yep that's why I did it "
" ok well you need to get a dynotune to get enough fuel for maximum output from the turbo"
" mate that fukn pump is screwed up that far there is more fuel coming out than 2 turbos could handle "

Happy Sad Moment this morning... still wiping the tears away.
My darling wife passed away over 2 years ago now, still haven't got over it really but i don't think anyone ever does.
Anyway, I never bothered cancelling her rewards card, no point really as only used it for shopping and fuel which still worked.
Sooo, Door Bell rings, Chewy the Shepherd tries to eat the Courier (he loves courier drivers esp if they try to run).
Driver has huge box discreetly placed between him and Chewy and says "Delivery for Marj?"
WTF I think to myself..."Uuummm Ok, I'll sign for it" says I
Driver beats hasty retreat with most limbs still intact and I open Box.
Box contains a brand new Weber Q and a letter from the Rewards Mob saying 'Congratulations on your win and thanks for participating in the Masterfood promotion. Hope you enjoy your Weber Q and best wishers for a Merry Xmas'
So, Thanks Dear, give the Angels a hug and a Merry Xmas right back at ya.

Getting home about an hour ago after a day and a half of eating, drinking, drinking, eating. Walked in and literally walked straight through to the back yelling to my son "grab two towels please" and spent the next 1/2 hour cooling off in the pool and now sitting with a nice chilled glass of white wine in front of the idiot box. Howqua River Rd is a dirt track but it is doable in normal cars, so you will see Xtrails , Prados etc at the Main campsite, which is a very large camping ground.
But... from there on you have a few river (i'd call it a small creek ) crossings which filters out a lot of people, leaving the rest of the isolated camp locations to more 4x4 based people... You will see when and if you get there what I mean.
This time of year I dare say it'll be busy.

Took a longer drive in the Maverick today to start shaking down any snags or issues, had the ecutalk hooked up so i could keep an eye on things.
According to my calculations, on shagged out tyres and running a high idle(really need to adjust that) I was in the region of 16.7-17L/100km.
To say that I'm happy with that as a starting figure would be a massive understatement.

Just got back from hospital. I woke up at 3-3.30 am with dizziness and chest pains. I sat in the lounge room and dithered about whether to go to hospital. For some reason mudnutette woke up, found me sitting there and talked me into going.
Got the all clear, but they kept me in for obs. Bloody good news. Going to get some sleep now.

Just checked the out put of my new compressor and all I can say is WOW 5.6 CFM
My other one is called the Big Black pump is 3/4Hp and was sold by Big Balls Off Road
that was only 3.5 CFM still impressive,
Just shows how up dating gear can help.
Might let a tyre down next week and get some real world times

Watched the Leyland Bros this morning they went to Cameron Corner to Moomba and Innamincka.
Interestingly there was only the post at Cameron Corner so no facilities, Moomba was only 1 drill head
not the big Gas plant it is today, Innamincka was just the pub and the general store.
They did this trip in what looked like a huge Jeep Gladiator and two Cherokee Chiefs all V8s,
still interesting seeing them drive Outback overloaded to about 4 t each vehicle
