Dhuck you know jennis a strong women and being a kiwi she hits back right? Haha.
I think I've done well enough out of her between the new patrol, tyres and my rifle that I pick up next week I can't complain! Maybe at 2trollfams BBQ you guys could explain the importance of a hybrid arm to her and how it's a safety thing rather than the wank factor mod and that it really is needed despite only having a 2 inch lift.
Nah there is no need to explain to why you need them. You should put your foot down.
As the Man of the house you need to demand that she gives you permission to buy hybrid arms. :p :D
You'll need a 3 inch lift for them aswell.

I had a short on my tail lamps near the end of the simmo trip and thought it would of been a nightmare to find as it could be all 4 lights, stalk, wiring throughout the lamps, pyro back light, boost, dash, etc.
1 min into it and I have found it already!!!
Trailer plug wiring has rubbed through just behind the main fuel tank...first thing I checked, how lucky is that!!!!

I bought 7 acres with my first home. Had a big big shed , dam, orchard, little house but was 30kms west of Geelong and he commute to. Melbourne killed me. I bought a block 15 minutes from Melbourne and built a new home. During he build I got a promotion and meant I did not have to commute so often. Damn it!! I should never have sold that paradise!! Have regretted it ever since. I go out that way occasionally and realize that it is still a long way out of town and I like Lara but acres in Lara have tripled in price in the last 5 years damn it.

My apologies for being a slug, when it comes to responding to all your kind PMs sent me this year.
Yes, I finally got around to reading them all this morning, farkkk, in the future I promise to be more courteous and respectful by trying to reply in a proper timely manner!
I would personally like to thank the following folks;
AB, Apollofish, Astro, Ben-e-boy, cgm, Doggy, fracster, Gecko17, HuskyinAuz, Kevin07, macca, macca86, MudRunner TD, OldMav, Nissannewby, NP99, 93patrol, P4trol, Stropp, TPC, Trekster and finally Winnie! I really appreciated your correspondence's and once more sorry for not responding sooner.

PS, unfortunately, I have been suffering from depression due to my ill-health this year, I am not trying to justify this as an excuse, other than stating that when the mind is not properly functioning, simple things are easily over looked.

11 acres = 1 million in Lara now
Easy 1 million on the 5 acres I was sitting on, but closer to 2 million if it was sold smartly. Reckon one would get an easy 2 mill if it was subdivided first or sold 2 someone looking at subdividing which they did 2 properties down the road............1 house turned into about 5 houses!!!

I read in the local paper that the new boat ramp and car park are now open for business in Portland. Although it was built adjacent to a top spot for KG whiting, (thus destroying it), it will be a hell of a lot easier to move around the foreshore when the Tuna are on the bite. So get your gear and head down to have a go at fishing and 4WDriving. Give me a shout if you drive down this way,

I didn't end up getting it out and running but 1 bloke had his runva9500 out to pull a stuck grand Cherokee out of a bog hole and it worked with no issue and the brake to run the rope out was easier to pull than the terrain tamer that was also used.

Beware if you have kids. Some of those so-called-water savers are DANGEROUS. My parents place has them. When I had the hot tap on, to start with, the rubber was spat out and I was hit by a torrent of extremely hot water. If it was a child, they would have been scalded from head to foot. As it was I was able to get the cold going quick smart and only suffered mild redness on my torso. Also, it takes absolutely ages to temp right, which uses heaps of water.

After being angry last weekend when at the range with my new rifle when the scope came loose I went to the firearms store I bought it from.
They couldn't have provided better service. I was dealt with quickly professionally, they diagnosed the problem which was the scope mounts broke due to heavy recoil(7mm rem mag)
They replaced my mounts gave me a free polo shirt and cap and sent me on my way.
A job very well done

Happy days Macca... I had a 303 come off after my mate had shot it... it smacked him so hard it cut him bad and I did not noticed that it had jumped a mount.
So how is the 7mm ???
macca86
1st August 2014, 06:13 PM
I was lucky I noticed it slipping and didn't cone out at me!
The 7mm rem mag has a hell of a kick! I managed to get 3 shots touching at 50 m then the scope had issues so was all over the place.
Tikka make a fantastic fire arm such a great action smooth well built. Very reasonable in price for what they are. Why I didn't buy a tikka for my first gun I don't know.
7mm rem mag may be a bit over powered but it feels awesome not a bench rest gun but very capable for big animal hunting like red sambar camel scrubbers buff etc. I'd rather a sore shoulder than be left wanting when hunting those animals!

Depends on where you get it and how many peers are on the site. Not enough peer and too many leeches and even with Fibre sometimes it can take a while to download something. I'm a member of Torrentleech and have been for years. To date I have downloaded 2.51TB of data and uploaded 4.85TB. Speaking of which. The New Captain america is up for dowload in Bluray. I'll text you during the week. Just done some research. Most likely case failure but other reasons for failure is dirty barrel or bolt face, it wasn't too bad so not that. Not chambered correctly to bolt not fully down but very unlikely since your first 20 rounds were trouble free. Since I've had the .22 wehgave put about 200 between me the wife and my father he cleaned it last week and had 1 jam and that one that ruptured. Hopefully it hasn't damaged the rifle I'll clean it tonight and check at the range next week.

Chased some snow up at Wombat and found Heaps!! Little Amelia saw snow for the first time! We made a snow man, had a to on the taboggin and had a snow fight. I then turned right down a track which got very sloppy down a hill quickly. 3/4 way down I decided it was a bad idea so got out and aired down, did a u turn and flogged the GUIV back up the slimey hill. Good climb, glad I got up!

Took the truck up the inside track then out on to Ocean Beach and down to the Woorim exit. Did not even nearly get stuck, truck and tyres were awesome. Lots of others stuck (maybe 6-8 trucks) and you know that thought you get when you see them up ahead 'ooh, I wonder how bad it is'? Well, it wasn't bad for me.
But that's not what really made me happy.
What did make me happy was that for every stuck truck, there was other trucks pitching in to help. And for the most part, the trucks helping were not travelling with the stuck trucks.
The classic of the day was the Chinese family that appeared to have hired a Prado, headed straight onto the beach with highway pressure and tried to drive due north in the powder... and there were the lads dragging them out.
My father in law is up from Sydney, he commented 'geez its good to see there's still some real Aussies left'.

Went to the tip and had a bit of gear that would be good for those recyclers that hang around picking out the good bits. I was just going to chuck the lot in the hole because every time I ask them if they want something it ends up being a stuff around by some bloke in hi-vis with a chip on his shoulder. I was just about to piff a couple of wippsnippa's and a working washing machine and thought better of it. I'll go and ask him and if he's a wanker I'll just tip it.
I get to within 10m of the bloke, he throws out a great big smile and says 'g'day mate, how can I help ya?'. He did the rest.
This thread gets me thinking though - it's not the things I buy or the luck I have that make me smile, it's good people. Every time.

Looks like a really fun but slippery track.
Very slippery and once the tyre get full of clay it's really hard to get them cleared out again because there's no place for a break. It's all up and down hills

I stuck a 'wanted' ad here on the forum yesterday and member 'Rex' responded. Not only did he have the wheels I wanted, he offered a very reasonable price AND he and his partner delivered them to me today.... exactly when he said he would :)
Thanks Rex!

Good one Mick, did you get on via the principle builder or labour hire mate? I'd be interested on how you go through the door via PM mate. Considering my options. Just up the road for me.

PM sent.
I guess the answer is neither, working for a company contracted by the builder.

Never to cold for camping, just means you need a bigger fire. The rain however is a PITA.

True true.
Our last trip had some rain, just meant that the kids had more fun on the quad and me too......and a good reason to give everything a good wash at home.

I have the 8m dia 200mm thick slab for the water tank next to the shed which is the spot for sure.
But...I need to build a shed or just leave it outside... Lol
Perfect spot though!!

Unfortunately I don't get to go, but making that phone call was awesome!

It just needs to be a bloody high shed.
I'm thinking using telephone poles and create a rustic look and also a wash bay. I have the two 22000 litre tanks beside the spot too.
