Did an oil change yesterday and the oil lights not working, never noticed as I look at the gauge on the pillar.
Shorted the cable to earth and the light comes on, so off to Nissan for a new one. Bugger their special plugs.
$70.00 freakin dollars and it don't work FFS, turns out the nylon tape used when fitting the "T" for the digital gauge insulates the switch.
Put the old one back in and earthed it with a hose clamp and a bit of wire to the chassis, it works again so Mr Nissan can have his back LOL

2 specs so far have put me down as "whole body impairement" at the moment without a % rating to due being medically unstable. Without that rating, I can't get much out of them which is what I need but have to wait to see what the surgery options are and what I will be rated before and after

whats the cut off point over there under your system is it 27%like here.
Hope they dont drag out the paperwork instead of trying to repair/fix the problem as best they can.
You may never be 100% after surgery but 99% is pretty damn close.
Confused by the whole body impairment thing or is that just a term till they have a name for it
To me that would imply to me no upper or lower body movement

It used be a % of "whole body disability" but there too many loop holes so they changed it.
Get nothing under 15%, between 15 and 25% all benefits stop whilst negotiatipns for payout are conducted and then reimbursed, 26%+ all benefits remain whilst negotiations are being conducted.
Common law claim only allows upto $465k but takes into account what you may receive from WC payouts.
EG I may get $200k WC payout then my maximum under common law goes to $265k = $465k total allowed but it is very rare to get that high now.
It was changed back in 2005 as you could have 2 guys with identical injuries and got to 2 different specs, 1 gets 5% and the other gets 30%. Now with the changes it makes it very hard for the specs here to give a false % rating and even a true % rating is hard to get now.

Is it just placed in or silicone ? I like the ease of an off the shelf item but like the idea of customising one out of polystyrene and cement. I'm undecided its just the time involved that puts me off.

When we first got to this resort in Noosa, I asked for a free upgrade, they said impossible we are fully booked out for the next three week.
So we were happy with a single bedroom studio apartment with kitchen and a view of the sanctuary.
Since our arrival the rear screen door wasn't sliding, the bedroom blinds fell off the rollers and now the couch leg gave way, "don't ask, don't tell", lol.
Any way, long story short, the maintenance guy must of mentioned all our problems in the room to management and miraculously a luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom "VILLA" has been graciously offered as a free upgrade.
We graciously accepted.
How I love free upgrades, we also got free upgrades on our car hire, from micro compact car to a large sedan. Don't ask, don't get. Lol

Im as happy as a pig in Port Macquarie red mud at the moment.
I've always wanted a phone holder that's a simple one handed drop in design and I've spent a small fortune buying different sorts that just don't work. I wanted one with no clamps to squeeze or buttons to press so tonight I decided to finally bend up a gadget. Phone sits there nicely so I can see who's calling as my bluetooth hands free on the dvd headunit doesn't show names, only phone numbers when someone calls.
Obviously I can't show a photo of the phone sitting there as I took the photos with my phone. It's for a Galaxy s5 for those wondering.

Fitting up the full set of Safebrake's braided lines, taking it for a test run and noticing a positive difference in the braking. Then comparing it to a mates Patrol and stopping a whole lot quicker than him as well, and he was driving an unladen ute. :-)

Also finished dicking around with my Engine Watchdog and am starting to get a better feel for the running temps of both engine and transmission. Yes, too much info can be painful, but one you've got a feel for it, knowing your truck is just that much more enjoyable. Work in progress there of course... wouldn't want to talk myself out of the next mod.

Ours is getting better with age too (aka, mods!) One more shakedown before I'm O/S, then the big trip. New airbox and intercooler hose makes me wonder if I do need an upgraded pump and turbo... did the hills around Canberra pretty well pulling CT.
