Nope always been a chubby bastard, but could swim all day long if required..... but now I'm just a fat bastard hahahahaha

I was kinda similar. Skinny cnut all my life. Useless as tits on a bull in all sports but chuck me in a pool and I can paddle till tomorrow.. Always had stamina in the water.
Also won a lot of diving competitions.

Happy birthday Eric. We'll have to celebrate with my new home brew American Pale Ale when i get back. If i get back. I love this place. Since i no longer own a house i could easily buy up here and have plenty of change too. I could get used to the lifestyle up here.

Its funny though. Ive been coming to Merimbula for as long as i can remember. Every year we come up me and the wife always talk about the ifs and buts of living here. Now we have sold our place and have cash ready to buy, we have discussed it a bit more in depth this time. But i doubt it would happen though. My wife is quite close to her family and it would be hard for her understandably.

Mia is awesome Tony, polite, helping, etc but Lachy with his low spectrum autism is honestly hard work. He's almost 4, not talking and the frustration he has and the communication break down is draining. Leah finally coming home from the hospital tomorrow

Unfortunately not much has been resolved and it's a long road ahead but it's been hard on all of us and the hospital just can't do much more

Anyways I've had a lot of challenges in life but holy crap single parenting working full time with a difficult lil man and an awesome slightly helpful daughter for a month has been my top five challenge so far in life

I'm praying that she gets relief soon so we can have normality back

Fingers firmly crossed for happy family life again

It will definitely fit under the carport but not 100% about the shed because of the roof rack. My plan though is to chain the rack to the roof of the carport anyway so I only have it on the car when it's needed.

I don't believe they have been made illegal but they are considered pedestrian unfriendly and I don't think they can be fitted to new vehicles.
Interesting read here about bullbars. https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/vehicle-safety/bullbars

Pretty much what TPC said. I was under the assumption they were a no no going by discussions I have seen over the interwebs and from the ADR's ruling that no bar should be mounted in a forward sloping fashion, or to that effect. (So if you do hit a pedestrian they go up and over, down and under. Maybe its just one of those rules that just gets overlooked by the fuzz, if you get them of a good day. Just like this last ruling on the VSI1 Ruling....Fittings such as driving lamp brackets or fishing rod holders must not protrude above the top or forward of the bull bar.
Half the 4bys around here would fail in an instant.

hahaha! Just worked out how to fly through these BS tests we have to complete as part of our employment 'arrangement'.

There's 13 of them, I've done 5 this afternoon without even needing to read the prep notes, what a bloody load off my mind.

It's that sort of stuff that everyone knows, but if you don't answer it in their terms, you could get it wrong. Like how much is 1 + 1. We'd all say 2. They say, it's an amount greater than 1, but less than 3, so a reasonable assumption would be that the correct answer is 2.

Hahaha, i've beaten the system and it feels great!

Found the issue with fuel starvation on second fuel tank, so didn't have to drop it. A big manky blob of goop had built up in the hose right where it clamps onto the tank. Found the monster and changed the hose to the inline filter and solenoid valve, all 100%.

Electric or gas?

I had a 1/4 scale 4wd buggie, gas powered that came in a kit, had to be built, was only the engine that was a bolt in everything else diffs, steering, suspension all needed to be put together. Can't remember how long it took as it was ages ago, but I did it all by myself as a 15 or 16 year old. The thing was huge and yeah heaps of fun.

These days they're brought ready to go and there got 2 speed gearboxes and fark there quick.

It's electric but the battery is crap! Takes 2 hours to charge and get about 10mins drive out of it.
My mate spent some serious money on a top quality one and his take 10 mins to charge and gets 2 hours drive from it
The front flexes 90 degrees to the rear though and it goes anywhere (except river crossings) but that's another story

My plan was to build a suitable trailer that would hold say 4 cans.
Then up on the banks of the Murray I can drive a full cold can x 4 down
the bank to who ever is fishing and retreive the empties.

I know mate and I will edit it. The lies and absolute shit we had to listen to and read were very hard to bite my tongue. The Advertizer paper down here were parrots for the union and the reporter needs a kick in the teeth. I relive my involvement regularly. Dont need scumbags lying about what was a terrible terrible tragic ACCIDENT

Nothing better than coming off call and enjoying a few cold ones ! Knowing someone will call at 3am and they can't play Xbox cause their power is out , and won't be ME going out there is an awesome feeling after being on call for a few weeks :)

I sleep in a separate spot during the whole time I'm on call. As I know I may be in and out all day all night. Stops having to wake her up and the little kid.

In all honesty Avo, it's a great job. I have no rights to complain about it....Look at fieries, ambos, cops, paramedics, nurses... The crap they have to deal with daily. Take my hard hat off to them any time. Makes our job look like a kindergarten game.
Despite sometime having to work in bad conditions. Could be up a 26 foot ladder 3am middle of winter, with sleet pounding your face... But the next day you could be replacing a pole or something in awesome weather somewhere on the coast... Take the good with the bad. I look at my job as an adventure lol.
It's a good feeling helping people and putting their power back. Especially elderly etc... But , we do cop it all the time from people, due to an outage, a lot of the time not due to our fault. Just the nature of this job...
We've actually been lucky in Vic, no major network issues. Few storms here and there but nothing that hasnt been cleaned up in a few days. Obviously the worst I have worked in was the Black saturday fires and we went up to Canberra in 2003 as well due to fires . That was pretty bad.

Two years ago I was closely involved in a workplace death. I was part of what was called the "recovery" team. Nov last year i was summonsed as a witness by safework. Today all charges were dropped. That's whats made me happy. The death was a tragic accident, and I will never forget it or Jorge. I still feel 100% terrible for his family and everyone else affected. I'm happy the blame game is over. To the dead c###s from the union that used this fellas wife as a puppet, F##K YOU.

In all my time I have seen unions do good things BUT unfortunately what sticks in my memory is the bad stuff they did while I worked on union sites or ran into them as a business owner.

They love to throw their weight around and don't care if they put someone out of business leaving all their treasured member without jobs. DC's is about right!

What bugs me with unions and work cover for that matter they are all experts after something goes wrong, where were they assisting employers and workers making places safer before an accident? They are not always the bosses fault, in fact I don't know any business owner that would put theirs valuable staff at risk - ever.

This day and age its all about safety, 30 yrs ago it was do the job this way
if you dont like it there are plenty more ppl who will. Ive worked in some very dodgey
places over the years.
One time a guy was caught in a concrete batcher by his thighs, he was cleaning it
and someone turned it on. we were working down stairs, we stopped work and waited
till ambos etc did their thing, Our boss at the time told us to continue work whilst the ambo worked on this guy.
In no uncertain terms we told the boss where to go and refused to work and in fact we decided to take the rest of the afternoon
off. It was not a pretty sight seeing this poor guy caught in the hopper. He never returned to work

I think for us the sensor pads would create more stress than not having it.
I just want something with decent rechargeable batteries that can be charged by 12V.
We'd very rarely use it at home but would be used every night when camping so we can put baby to bed and then still go outside and enjoy the fire without worrying about checking in every 5 mins

Must admit I'd not see any that can be recharged in 12v , just get one that can be battery powered.... the batteries last quite a while anyway

Getting stuff organized in the shed. I bought a flimsy sheet metal cupboard from bunnings to put all my fluids and some small ready to install spares.
Top shelf has Aluminium cleaner and polish, anti-sieze and cutting compound, spare oil drum taps and some prepwash, metho, and rattlecan primer.
Second shelf has degreaser, penetrants, grease and a barely acceptable amount of brake clean front and centre!
Third shelf is spares. Wheel bearings and seals, uni joints, plastic covers for injectors and glow plugs, brake pads, spare lock in hubs and some coil packs for the falcon.
Bottom shelf has grease guns, drum pump, big syringe and funnels
Got my oil trays hanging off the side wall and I knocked up a little holder for the manual on the front door.

Yeah I a sucker for some reality tv shows. I was just about to give up on this year show of this but when I found out this woman was going to be on it, I had to watch it. As yes, I did watch the bachelor, and ette :o when she was on it. She made the show watchable as she's so bitchy and that far up herself she can taste her own poo. She just gets everyone offside, almost like Steve Price, but worse.
Gunna watch Goggle Box too when it comes on. When it first came on, I said to myself who in the hell would want to watch that, I then watched an episode, and I can't wait for the next series. I'm hooked.

Fark John! Hows Kate Fisher ay! Or Tzipora or what ever her name is now. Shes as big as a bus! She was once a real horn bag. Now she just crys and says shes had a tough time in her life when she gets into an argument.

Lol. Sad. I'm raving on about t.v shows like this. Hahaha!

Yeah thanks Chris. A massive weight has been lifted! Mostly because of our eviction date on our place we sold. 4th of April. We were cutting it real fine as renting around here is more than what our mortgage will be for the place we just bought. We ended up using a buyers advocate to do the bidding for us as I was just not confident of doing it. The guy we used was an absolute gun. A very, very satisfying day it was yesterday. Now to just work my goat off and get the reno's underway when we take over.

And I have room to easily park my trailer and camper without having to juggle the entire backyard like I do now. 1700sqm of room. And a big fark off man cave under the house too. Plus a self contained unit for the missus when she starts farting in bed. Hahaha!

Looks are deceiving Johnny. This place needs some TLC, well a fair bit, it was built in the 70's and has not been touched since. We had a building inspection done and structurally its real good, its all cosmetic. But its the area I wanted, the house and land works for us and its walking distance to school for both my kids.

We have decided to pay for removalists. The cost of hiring two, or maybe three trucks to move everything in one shot, plus busting my nuts doing the physical move too with the amount of shit I have in the garage, I wont be walking for a week. Friends paid around $600 when they moved and they were done in three hours. Four big burely blokes and a massive truck in one foul swoop.
