Which brands were they? 60% abv...?
They were "Scotch Malt Whisky Society" whisky's and they do not put the distillery on the label but the host did say what they were, ones I remember are Glenmorangie, Caol Ila & Ardmore.
These are not chill filtered and do not have caramel added and have an alcohol content between 55 & 62%, they really show how good whisky can be.

Seeing an 100 series Landcruiser and camper trailer on the back of a semi-trailer at the Woolgoolga truck stop. When i asked the truck driver the reason the Hiroshema screama was on the trailer, he advised me that the family that owned the vehicle hydrauliced the motor on the Telegraph track.
I was so glad it was a farken Toyota, however, i really feel sorry for the family, as i sunk my Patrol on Morton Island in 2000!
PS, even with a snorkel fitted, this vehicle still failed a crossing. I am betting it was the Infamous (Nolan's brook) I am a betting man they hit the crossing to fast causing the bow wave up over the bonnet, up the windscreen into the snorkel or the snorkel itself had a leak around a join.

Lack of experience, living the dream take the hand shake buy the biggest 4x4 you can attach the biggest trailer/camper to the back.
Then tackle one of the best 4x4 destinations without a clue of how anything works, See and hear it all the time, It all ends up in a
big pile of Pooh, insurance will fix it in time for next years trip to the CSR to use up all the resources over that way,

Finally some action, I've been ringing and abusing in hindsight not the best approach my surgeons office trying to figure out why my next procedure
has not been passed onto my insurance company who pass it onto "work cover" for approval.
I gave them the "OK" in October last year, so all this time taking strong meds etc. This is the Work Cover system at its best. They said it was passed onto my case officer.
That's funny as I haven't had one for years, This is my last "hooray" so not sure what to do next. Mind you could be next year till I get some paper work.
I'll be ringing the insurance Co next week and I'll bet my left one they don't have it. Never trust the system, but it made me happy something happened, for a change

G'day folks,
My wife and I finally received a phone call from world renowned Medical Director, Professor Thomas Borody from The Centre for Digestive Diseases' (CDD) in Sydney to take me on as a patient to see if he can find a cure for my chronic Crohns disease. Hopefully, i can find some solitude once and for all to find out why this dame disease is failing to go into remission.
PS, the big day is Friday 13th September, hopefully, the date does not impact on my treatment! lol

And we were giggling like little girls while we were huffing and puffing taking turns cutting the bar off...(sounds a bit rude)

Rang the mechanic 2day 2 see how much I owed him for doing the call out / breakdown yesterday arvo on the crappadore, he said not 2 worry about it.
He also asked if I was going 2 do the plugs and leads myself or get them 2 do it, Said I was undecided at the moment and he said if I do it myself this is what the gap in the plugs need to be set to and if I need further advice feel free 2 ring him or call in to the workshop.
So all in all it cost me all of 20 bucks for the gas man 2 pull apart the gas converter and fix it up.
Got 2 be happy with that :):):)

That is customer service, I actually don't use them all that often other than the yearly rego inspection on mine and the partners cars, Used them maybe 2 times for my partners car and around the same on my patrol for other mechanical issues, at a guess I would say we have spent between 1 - 2 grand between us in the 3 - 4 years we have been using them.
But yeh when someone helps you out like that especially not 2 charge you on a call out ( and they were there within 15mins of me calling them ) I will definitely be happy go there and get work done. It only took him 10 mins to get me going and back to the workshop but still I know what a lot of other places would charge just for a call out.

He got electrocuted and it put him into cardiac arrest. He disconnected the circuit but somebody had done their own wiring and wired up some power points from another source

Mate owes me a slab, who claimed the show "Driven to Extremes" , had a land cruiser, when in fact it had a 4.2 GU. Two minutes into the show earlier tonight, I get an SMS from him: "Crownies or JD ? "
He's not internet savy, but if he were, he could have easily googled it on the spot and realized his costly mistake... Oh well.
But seriously not a bad show, for those who haven't seen it, some hollywood bloke and Mika Salo (former F1) put a 4.2 GU through hell. Friday nights 7.30 on ONE.
