Then my time here is over.

G'day John, would be surely not the same around here without you mate so I hope you can recoup and come back.

For the unanswered thread issue. It happens on all forums, a lot of people simply do not know the answer and with the likes of some very knowledgeable members in their specific areas we have on here they miss posts of course and it gets pushed down the line.

Now that we have the new software here I can also look into a dedicated "non answered posts" link where members can click on to see all of the unanswered threads to see if they can help out.

I've been wanting to do this for years but was limited by the outdated software but leave it with me and I'll see if I can get it happening.

Yeah the current job is fine but it's a bit of a hike to work and it's basically stuff I have always done. The one I'm going for an interview for is a good opportunity and it's industrial hydraulics, something I find interesting and 5 min from home.

Fark yeah, is it covering shift or service, install and repairs, some of factories I have covered have some pretty trick hydraulics and control pack with technology, you'll even like the electrical control behind it, particularly when it comes to proportional valves and what ever process the control to exacting tolerances

I'm of the opinion it's better to leave a thread unanswered if you don't know the answer. Wait for someone more knowledgeable than yourself to answer rather than post a heap of crap (sometimes multiple posts).
Nothing wrong with letting them know someone will be along soon. AB I do like the idea of the dedicated unanswered thread view, not much worse than being ignored except for maybe feed bull5hit info.

X2 to a point. I read a lot.. Probably dribble more But I do read.
I try to pass on Info I read coz let's face it we all haven't had every Nissan variation around.
Sometimes I'm wrong and corrected, but only On non important things like diff ratios.. I'd never reply on a matter witch could turn bad, ie brakes..
I try and find relating threads, and Andy I most of the time have better luck finding it via Google than the np site. Thus said haven't had much to do with the upgraded site..

Forums are about sharing Info, experiences and stories. And yes sometimes we all draw blanks and can't hit that nail.
But sometimes the smallest detail can assist someone with an issue..

Use them on rotisserie and kitchen oven and when not cooking you can use them on the van wheel bearings. Infrared lets you check the inside bearings easily as well, saves spit and burnt fingers.

Woohoo! Finally finished clearing the place of all the scrap metal which seemed to have bred on the place over the past 18 years. Cleaning up for the new owners has been a major task.
Filled the biggest skip I could get (30 cubic metres) with scrap metal & old wire. Barbed wire is an absolute bastard..... all by hand except for the old engine block from the bus which a neighbour lifted in with his tractor/front end loader for me. Huge relief to have it done. Was quite impressed that the skip was free & that they’ll pay me for the scrap metal!

The full length movie Llewellyn Unlikely was premiered in Portland this weekend and it was excellent. The film was shot locally, and was edited over a couple of years, (I was part of the crew for a few weeks). It is a story about how two teenagers cope with bullying at school and online. It was written, filmed and directed by a mate of mine, a school teacher. All of the actors and most of the crew were volunteers. It has a bit of a christian theme to it but If you have kids or teenagers, I would recommend getting them to see it if you can.

Had to laugh when a telemarketer rang. Before she started her rehearsed lines, I butted in and asked her for the full name of the company she was calling for. After getting the details she asked why I needed them to be so precise. I replied that since it was the second time they had called (bulldust) that I was forwarding their details to the Communications Ombudsman as this number is on the No Call Register. The lass was very flustered and said, "Very sorry, Sir, I am now taking all your details from our data bank. Sorry, Sir, we won't call again." I wonder how long it will last...

Haha! I did that one day. You have to walk along my verandah and past three windows all looking into my front lounge and then into the kitchen area. You can easily see in. I was at the kitchen table doing something, and I see an, erm, dark skinned fella holding a clipboard walk up and knock on my door. I just sat there and continue on with what I was doing, reading a mag I think, anyhow he peeps through the window and see's me. I look up and he waves to me. So I wave back. He waves to me to come to the front door. I just smiled and waved back. The look on this dudes face was priceless as he seriously didn't know what to do as i just waved back at him when he did. I gotta do that again sometime...

I dropped into me old workplace to grab some stainless sheet for my water tank.

Measured up roughly 2 meters squared.
No boss so leading hand checked it over.
Right'o about a meter square there. Into the office for a price.

Ask the women, $87/2m,
No worries, call it $40 for the half a meter..

Bloody ripper.. Lol

Off to a mates wedding today.
So from the bottom of our hearts, we wish the very best on this special day and the future as newly weds.

PS. Hope the rain stays away, enough for the ceremony as least.
