Im not 100% on bikes but generally 4th in a car will be 1:1. Doing it in 3rd fudges the figures as you also have gearing overcoming it.

Having it in a lower gear would show more power yeah?
What if you put it in low 1st? haha

More power and torque.
Low 1st wouldnt net you much power but heaps of torque. Not many vehicle dynos can handle the amount of torque though with the reduction low 1st offers.

Scored 2 x copper kettles , with a little panel beating I'll get them polished and powder coated clear.
They date from mid 1800s for the cast spout one to turn of the century for the straight spout one.
Should display well.
I'll also get my 1850 steam train water tank polished and clear coated at the same time,
water tank is about 900 high.

After waking up this morning to find my tyre was flat with a slow leak (again after a 4x4ing)
Thank god was only a slow leak and managed to get home to have it looked at.
Took it to Jax tyres this afternoon and when the tyre kid was removing the tyre off the rim, he took out a big chuck out the bead and ruined the tyre.
So now I get a new BFG KM2.
Which will match the new spare I already have.

Got my troll back from a full injector pump rebuild which actually turned into a replacement. Wound up being cheaper than quoted and will be more durable for our harsh winter weather over here.

The exchange rate is working in my favor, so the cost was about $875. That price included a compression test and full injector overhaul as well as swapping out the pump, rebuilding it and testing it on the stand.

Old Farts at home on leave can be a telemarketers nightmare...
Just had a call from "Michael from Telstra Internet"
(If they don't want to use the name they were christened with they really should choose a name they can pronounce)
He said it was "a REALLY important call so don't hang up"
I said "OK"
He said "Do you have a Telstra Internet Connection?"
(They really should learn the correct name of the products they want to humbug you about)
I said "If you are from Telstra you should already know the answer to that"
He said "Some Internet users are reporting issues so could I tell him area am I in?"
I said "If you are from Telstra you should already know the answer to that"
He said "have you been using your Internet connection today?"
I said "If you are from Telstra you should already know the answer to that... this is fun isn't it"
He said "Sir, seriously, we really want your help to resolve the issues you are having"
I said "Trust me mate, Telstra is not a company that can help me with my issues"
He said "No, no, we need you to log on to help troubleshoot issues for everyone experiencing them in your area"
I said "No worries, my charge out fee for Technical Consultancy is $225 and hour min of 3 hours, to whom should I forward the service contract?"
....
...
..
I said "Hullo"
...
..
I said "Hullo" again... got no answer so I hung up.
Guess I solved Telstras issues... hope they remember to include the GST in my cheque.

Which is a sad fact mate. If a certain % didn't fall for their horse shit, well they wouldn't' still be around to hassle people. The scary tactics they are starting to use are a worry. The latest one going around is where supposedly people owe money to the tax office, and have to pay a certain amount on the spot. The interesting thing about it, is the number is local and it's a full aussie / english accent on the other end, not the over seas variety.
If I didn't know any better and got a call like that, I'd panic too.

Absolute cockroaches. Once I determine they are scamming or trying to sell me junk, and I have some time, I play along with them for a little bit.
If I'm behind my main PC, i actually have audio snippets of various types ready to play back for them.
One of my favorite ones is the famous "This call may be recorded for quality control purposes". They love that one and hang up right after it most of the time.
Mind you it doesn't happen too often any more....

An old mate’s favourite ploy was “Can you hang on, the kettle’s boiling & I need to go & switch it off”. :) One time after hanging up the by then dead phone after about 20 minutes he received a further call about 10 minutes later from the same chap l who said “You’re a bastard Mr Smith”. :)

I use to give the phone to my kids when they were younger and tell them "they want to know who is your favorite superhero and why.
Or if I had the time it was, yes, really I was thinking about getting one of those can you tell me more. Ask a lot of questions and after about 1/2 hour, that's really good thanks for all the info, but I don't want one now. Goodbye.

ARB's upcoming special on lockers :Yahoo!:
Wouldn't fit an air locker if they paid me.
Father inlaws has his in the Prado back 3 times and oil still keeps coming back up the line and stalling the solenoid so once it's engaged it takes for ever for the air to bleed back out and disengage..

I'll be hitting up my local Arb for that rig then. Too bad already have a comp and kit. Wonder what the price for a locker alone would be .

Haven't had it for as couple of years now, but I used to get emails saying, Dear Sir, you have been awarded the Business Entrepreneur of the year in your area. Please click on this link for your certificate.
Never did - figured if I had won an award with a certificate, they would know my name.

They've done it 3 times. Surly that should eliminate an installation issue??

Gotta be something not right otherwise EVERY air locker would ALWAYS do the same?

My son got the all clear on any major damage, still needs to see a surgeon, plus hes back at work on light duties for 2 weeks
Personally Im not a fan of light duties getting full pay for doing less, not fair to other workers, but thats me.
He will be seeing my surgeon Prof peter Teddy one of the best neuro surgeons in the world

Good to hear TD. Hopefully that bloke sorts him out.
Light duty is better then nothing IMO. It's better to keep active and keep mind going while recovering, rather than say sit at home for example and become a slug. And that's even more unfair to the rest.

Hopefully this next Op will see me working again, I have never given up that dream
A have my letter now for the consciliation services might have gone a bit hard at QBE
