Then to top things off he also gave me a new oz trail Mitchell king swag and 2x recon3 minus 5 sleeping bags with waterproof backing and mosquito screen that zips on ! This bloke is a legend!
I looked into what he's given me and only one sleeping bag is a recon3 ( great looking bag ! And good features) the other is a wiggys -20 bag.. This bag is huge lmao
$600 worth of gear when new so I'm not sure why he didn't try to sell it as it's all in mint condition. I'm not complaining though !

over the weekend I could hardly walk let alone move, same on Monday when I saw the surgeon.
Must be Kharma its all I can put it down to, its a huge turn around and quiet emotional sometimes.
Can't remember the last time I was painfree, has to be more than 10 years ago, I'm taking it real easy

I have finally trained the woodswallow that is nesting in my shed. She used to fly off her nest at the slightest noise and wouldn't return until we had left the yard.
Now she just pops her head up for a look-see, and only escapes if I get too close. She returns within minutes, too.
The pair of woodswallows kept trying to build a nest behind all of my gear. I kicked them out, a few times, hoping they would find some other place.
After a while I gave up and mounted a cheap bucket for them to build their nest in.
On the down side, I can't build anything in there, until they have gone.

What made me really happy though was upon exiting a Bunnings store today I spotted a crow heading towards my car. The landing legs came out to land of the roof, and SLIP! The crow went for a six on the roof. Was quite a site to see a bird slipping over.

Finally got everything at work sorted out. After a long drawn out toolbox meeting, i was finally able to prove a whole bunch of stuff wasn't my fault. Had to go out on a site told the boss what I done and when and what the other fella had done and their site supervisor backed me up. Now instead of being in the poo for taking too long and stuffing around the other fellow is. Boss also told me I should be proud of doing the work I did in the amount of time that I did.
Also got the money that was deducted from my pay for 'lost tools' given to me as he believes me I didn't lose them now.
Other supervisor also helped me in the matter, could have been resolved quicker except he was away all last week. And the boss checked gps tracking on the work utes for times spent on site and that backed me up aswell
All in all quite a good outcome

Great to hear mate, glad it all worked out for you.

Patience always wins, young Grasshopper. I am glad you didn't burn any bridges the other day when it all came to a head. Now you can enjoy your work, and if the other bloke starts giving you a hard time, refer him to us. LOL.

Had a 4cmx2.5cm solid mass tumour removed from my ribs - ct scans said it was growing between my rubs when in fact it was firmly attached to one rub - after cutting to muscle to get to it they had to burn it off the bone so in a truck load of pain even now, 2days later.
Have to wait 2 wks for test results to find out exactly what it is but I now also am sporting metal clips inside the wound in case they need to pin point the spot for radiation?? Hmmmm don't like sound of that but hey, I not going to stress until pathology results are back :)
Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner
hope the results are good and you can put it all behind you.

Hey guys. It'd been a pretty big week for me. Here comes a bit of an insight into me and who I am.
I've been a workplace delegate for a few years now, at Qantas, and have put my all into my role and the protection of my colleagues rights and their jobs. As most will know, it's been a massive year at Qantas with 5000 jobs to go and massive hits in my area of telephone sales with 540 jobs being made redundant in Melbourne and Brisbane.'
Anyway, the first half of this week was spent in Melbourne at the Australian Services Union National Conference. I had an amazing time, meeting other delegates and hearing from some fantastic speakers but the best part of the conference for me was the conference dinner. At this dinner the National Delegate of the Year award was presented to the delegate that was shown to have put the most into the role and met a range of criteria. This award was given to me.
You can read more about it, as I think I have written enough on a post, here (http://www.asu.asn.au/news/categories/natconf/141119-asu-delegate-of-the-year-2014). There's a rare photo of me there too.
