At that weight it must be a horse of a unit, maybe just under one metre long

Finally got out to Wombat in a 4x4, last time I was there was in a surf about 3 1\2 years ago and it took a big drink of muddy water. This time was a bit of a drive through wasn't prepared to take any of the tracks as was only there with the family and no other cars. Just the feeling of driving a 4x4 in that area put a smile on my face.
Will have to get out there with some of you guys soon.

Ahhm, I would hit them up for the belt as well mate. When mine was done they replaced the belt and a something directly underneath when the idler pulley leaked(CRD). I was pretty happy with the outcome:)

Good luck with it all Paul.
If you don't mind me asking, but how will the hyperbaric chamber help.
No need to answer if you don't want to.
Thanks for sharing. Were all riding along with you.
G'day Mego,
Hyperbaric chambers are used for a range of clinical purposes, including:
The treatment of diabetic ulcers;
Life-threatening infections such as gangrene;
Cancer patients suffering complications after radiation therapy; and
The treatment of divers with decompression illness.
HOW IT WORKS
The primary healing element in our bodies is simply oxygen. Get too much or too little and we become unstable or die. We all know that the oxygen is absorbed through the lungs and circulated through the blood in the body. A regulated increase of oxygen therefore helps with healing and assists with the detoxification. Air at sea level is made up of approximately 20% of oxygen and 80% of nitrogen.
There is a minor level of carbon dioxide and other gases but the bulks of the transparent gases that we take for granted are oxygen and nitrogen. Hyper means an increase in the quantity or quality of something while baric means pressure. Put these together and you have a system that delivers oxygen under increased pressure that often increases and accelerates the body's natural ability to heal from a variety of afflictions.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been in use for over 50 years and involves the intermittent inhalation of 100 per cent oxygen. A multi-place chamber is designed to hold two or more people and the chamber is pressurised with air. Patients breathe oxygen via mask, a hood or endotracheal tubes.
The new $5.2 million hyperbaric chamber at Prince of Wales Hospital is the biggest and most technologically advanced of its type in the world.

Paul

Had a meeting with estate agent yesterday to put things into perspective and even though Mags has been the driving force she seemed against it.????
It was good as it helped put things in there place with what areas we should concentrate on and things we thought we should spend money on was told not to bother..
So our list has shrunk from what I felt was overwhelming to very manageable ... so finish off laundry and renovate bathroom and tidy up some plaster work.. then just do a basic tidy of the gardens and fix the fascia to the garage.
Mags was very upbeat last night and so was I and felt like I wanted to get stuck in..... but now I am sick and Mags has to work today??? bloody hell.
The other thing we will need to sort is storage for a lot of stuff... I thought of buying a shipping container???? storage fees will cost us a fortune for the amount of stuff we will need to store?
Anyway with all that has been happening this has made me feel very happy !!!!!!!!
Just need the boys around to have a working bee.... wink wink !!!

G'day folk's
My wife and I received the news that Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) have approved hopefully my life changing Hyperbaric chamber treatment. I have been approved for 6 weeks treatment from the 30th June until 12th August 2014.
Affectively, I will be living at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney for the six weeks duration. The last 3 and a half years have certainly tested our family to the limits.
PS, This is the last straw for me and my family and my wife tells me that she is confidant this will be the game changer for us.
Kind regards,
Paul

I would certainly put my hand up to try any new procedure or stimulator out there.
These days they don't use bone graft on a Steffie fusion they have hi-tech Titainium gadgets
instead that don't limit your movement, I'm having my third stimulator implanted, and fingers crossed
I get relief this time, been waiting 18 months now, but hopefully I'll be in before the end of the month

Flew up to Port Hedland for the weekend to spend time with the missus. Took a taxi to where she was staying in South Hedland.
Man, that place is a world of its own. I've never seen so much Hi Vis in all my life! I nearly broke out my MAMIL suit, just to be a 'local' for the weekend. lol. The majority of houses I saw had 6 foot fences, too.
I saw more Tojos than Trolls. Lots of 4wd's up there have light bars. Got woken up every morning by the minesite compliant vehicles and their reversing beepers. It started about 5:30am and peaked at about 6. lol. I want one!
Anyway, got home at about 12:30am this morning, and at work at 8. It was a loooong day today. lol.

We out did every other table there and once kicked out we then headed back to the Strathmore and continued until 2am and gawd I felt crap in the morning.
Was quite funny really as there was guys from every state there and they all said to us Vic's that they heard about us and our drinking habits every year when we go.

Now you need a huge map of Australia in the church to plot future travels and ink in one that you have done.
That's a great idea! I used to know a guy who had a 4wd Ute of some sort (I was too young to pay attention) and on the canvas canopy he had a huge map of Australia drawn on it and he highlighted all the trips he had done.

Once you get red dirt fever which by the way you can never get rid of
Tell me about it ... My car is originally from Coober Pedy. And to this day.... I have red dust pouring out of every nook and cranny in the trol. Lol
I always tell people who ask whats with the red dust.... I say just spent a month in the Simpson mate... There is that much of it that they simply can't not believe me.

Many a trip or weekend away has been planned having a map of Australia near by,
in a pool room or man cave a must for all travellers, I'll try and find my one from years gone by.
It also have any flights or train trips I may have taken as well. Its pretty black with texta but plenty of room for future trips

Bet you guys are like a cat on a hot tin roof, if it was me I'd be ready to roll now.
Wouldn't get to bed till very late and then won't be able to sleep, then get up early and leave - that's why I prefer to meetup along the way and not wait on anyone.
Then again I'll probably be early for my own funeral - never ever been late.
Hey Winnie I reckon you'll be sitting in the car ready to go later tonight, just don't turn on the engine for the heater as you'll run out of fuel early.
ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY

Hi John,
I grabbed a few of those Australia maps VMS were giving out at the EXPO, nice size about 80x60 and will fit on the wall nicely. Been going to do this for years but couldn't justify paying $40 for a large one as it will never get on the wall.

Its brilliant....... I also figured out what goes wrong with them and how to fix them.
On another note I am so happy as last night I put Alexander to bed as he fell asleep watching tv and forgot to put a nappy on him...... woke up this morning and no mishaps !! yay !!!!! hate having to deal with wet bed sheets and all that first thing or worse in the middle of the night.

He had a white top and hat, that's all I saw, as I was staring at the chicken, pissing myself laughing, wiping the tears from my eyes, whilst trying to grab my phone to take a photo, but pasted him.

hahahaha what a pisser. Thanks for a laugh mate.
Reminds me when I saw a bloke walking his pig, in Deer Park. And as we drove in the same street, 5 seconds later there were 2 blokes chroming stark naked on the footpath.
Good street to move into.

I'd love too but my money's run out! Maybe my birthday. 3.5% duty killed me on the purchase price. Plus rego new tyres maybe if I get a good price fir my 5 factory 17 inch alloys with 1 brand new mt atz 5 rib and 4 cooper st tyres with 40000km on them so about 50% tread any buyers to fund my flex arm fund?

Dhuck you know jennis a strong women and being a kiwi she hits back right? Haha.
I think I've done well enough out of her between the new patrol, tyres and my rifle that I pick up next week I can't complain! Maybe at 2trollfams BBQ you guys could explain the importance of a hybrid arm to her and how it's a safety thing rather than the wank factor mod and that it really is needed despite only having a 2 inch lift.
