I like GQ's too they are just too 'rough' for me, I took one for a test drive and then the GU and the GU was more comfortable so that is why I got a GU,

I can see that, that's perhaps why I haven't parked me bum in a U. Don't want to spend a lot of money on a toy that will be punished by being at or near the beach and taken off road.

We went from '71 F100 with v8 and 4 wheel drum brakes - ex ambulance, to 2.8 MQ. The MQ was a big step up in terms of noise and stopping, if not going :-) Silver was an absolute pleasure after the MQ - mostly due to coil springs, more grunt, and functional aircon :-) and a lot less noise.

Ooops, have parked me bum in a GU, a mate was kind enough to lend me his 4.5 litre petrol auto when I was in Melbourne a month ago. Only drove from Mount Waverly to Box Hill a few times, so hardly a test.

new boat, no nutting power wise when i got it , and now its got all the bits one need to fish with hahahahaha

last thing I added to my tinny was a humminbird sounder. Big transducer that makes a big rooster tail :-(. Mate has Furuno with a bigger Airmar transducer that makes no rooster tail. I have bought the $15 dollar shield to keep the rooster tail under control, but not fitted it yet.

Not fixed yet, gearbox is out and has been stripped down, yep it was stuffed! need 2 order some more parts..... for some reason a full rebuilt kit that cost 600 something bucks doesn't cover everything that is in the gearbox and unfortunately one of the parts that is stuffed isn't in the kit!
