Got a job interview next week with a rival company so that should be interesting. And possibly a job with ETSA (Govt dept for elec) Supervising safety on substation upgrades, so all in all lookin good.

Gday OD, what's new on the mota?

mota is kaput, getting a new 4.8 long mota, new seal kits being put in, radiator being redone as well. just over 13k it gonna cost me to start off with, complaint going to commer for them to follow up and hopefully get the coin back which will be nice

At this stage, 2 weeks for the seal kit to come over from Japan as there is none in Oz for the 4.8 according to Nissan, then another 2 weeks for it to be built, installed and tuned for me to collect - so touchwood no more than 4 weeks, means I will be trolless for nearly 2 months

then back to ARB to get winch and gas strut on wheel carrier fixed

I used to cut trees for a living around HV power and our boss didn't give a frock re PPE he'd have us doing the dodgiest stuff dunno how none of us were killed

I wont say publicly where i am, but its a high security building and weve just had intruders access a secure door and gain entry. luckily some of our sparkies disturbed them as they just got in and they bolted. But then came to the back public doors and nearly got in again. They must have an access pass, so we will be able to find the number. But the security guard thats here is only to escort staff to their vehicles and doesnt know how to access the HD with the footage on or the swipe cards!!! maybe theyll upgrade security now!! Well the first thing i did was check that Agatha was ok and the steering wheel lock is on hahahahahahahahaha

Theyre concerned im too good for what they want (im not blowing my own trumpet either, be good if i could hahahaah) and that they may not meet my expectations. basically i work for a teir 1 builder who set the benchmark for ohs within in construction here and overseas. The mob im talking too are about 10 rungs on the ladder below us, but do have high expectations re ohs from their employees on site, but havent got anyone with the balls to "motivate" the lads. engine is going well so far, slowly easing it in so I can get back into wheeling. Giving it it's 2k service next weekend just to be safe before going on leave for 2 rotations (23 days off) and doing a few camping trips, hopefully a wheel and touchwood get up to murchison offroad adventures if time permits.
