Brought this not my first, have one in the lower centre console for my phone, I'll either put this in the rear next to that pull out panel in the back with some additional carling switches for rear work and maybe awning light

Well, not exactly today, a couple of days ago, I finally bought Provent 200 catch can with hoses, clamps etc, but I'm yet to get a bracket of some sort as there is no particular place I can just bolt that thing on in the engine bay (GU9 2013 built).
I've checked around this forum and others, and have seen some examples of how people install it, but further comments / suggestion welcome (perhaps via pm so as not to deviate from the main theme of this thread).
Cheers

No idea to be honest, prob just the price tag... I remember seeing them for a show special over $400, whereas you can buy a winch with "dyneema rope" for near that figure these days

Dyneema is the brand name, there is a better "plasma style" rope available buts its name has slipped me.

Been a big couple of weeks though, took off the LPG system, fitted long range fuel tank, bought new plugs, leads, dizzy, and rotor button, fitted them all then radiator went last week so new radiator from asi performance & new hose and belt kit, fitted them on weekend. Yeah though it might have been as such.
It's 10mm rope thought about 12mm but apparently 10s all good and 40 m should fit in a standard high mount. Just asked an Anthony at roadrunner what he recommended. Looks the same size as the old stuff i took off the tigerz, but assume better quality. . . Although it did do pretty well actually . .

Don't need to with a high mount as brake and motor heat don't affect the drum and also don't build up heat too badly as compared to a lowie. Reversing out under load on a low mount can get hot pretty quick. . .

ON the upper arms mate did you get one bent one? Just incase down the track you decide to get a long range aux tank you will need one... Pkus you'll need to do something about the radius arms too for the 3inch lift... Either drop boxes or those offset bushes.

No I just got the straight ones, at the moment a long range tank is not part of the plans (he says that now..). I'm hoping the economy I pick up from the engine work and a proper tune will help me out. Currently the front is sitting at 2" and the rear a bit higher, but I will be going 3" after I get the engine sorted. I need some bushes now due to clunking and banging so may as well get the arms and spread the cost out a bit so the missus doesn't get as upset. Eventually I'll probably be going hybrid arms and drop boxes on the front.

Many different sizes as they are huge in the sailing world.
Our problem is why would you pay $30-$50 each when a rated metal shackle is below $20..
The only advantage the soft shackle has is the safety.

Well, i have no muffler. So i reckon its going to be noisy. Last thing i want is a loud drone in the cab whilst driving to QLD. But, the section where there was a muffler, is now welded up. The muffler that was there was held in via slip flanges. So i need to cut that section out. To even just remove the exhaust.

Lol. Yeah I went there yesterday arvo. Motor is built, head, pump and injectors coming today.. I told him I will bring the car in next week then, and he said yes. So if that happens we are on the move. IF that happens...
Scored a IP gear, key way and nut for $50 just now. Wrapped, will pick this up today and then go argue with the goons at wreckers about the mount.

Pump mainly. He chucks it in the dyno and tunes it to the new exhaust snorkel and egr blank since its now breathing a lot easier .

Each LED panel is the same. But they come with 3 different globe adapters ( don't know what each type is called) so you just plug the LED panel into the type you need and install into car.
So on the photo for the front map lights I used the adapter all the way on the left. And the other 2 interior lights I used the one on the top...
Easy. For about $5 delivered. They are fantastic!!

Tis my first and is an attempt to eliminate a drivetrain noise which I now suspect is due to the angles of my unis with a 3" litt causing a. Slack no slack issue on the chain in the transfer case at certain rpm. The set cost me $150 from bearing wholesalers on thomastown

Makes sense. I just bought my 1999 GU so I replaced them on mine as well as other bushings and bearings. Just was curious if it was a regular maintenance procedure or not.

The first number will be the month tested and the last number the year tested. Number in the middle will be the test station.
Looking at these Oct 2007 and Feb 2008.
Any ideas on what you plan to do with them yet?

Ideally I would love to carry compressed air for my tyres,
but its not worth testing the tanks so thats not an option.
way too heavy for anything else might only be scrap value.

Today I bought new kingpin spacers for the front end as well as a new drive-shaft for the passenger side (driver's side for you Aussies). One of the previous owners apparently removed the kingpin spacers for some weird reason and he also never checked his front driveshaft bearings. it was completely dry - no grease in it whatsoever so it was partially seized up and destroyed from lack of lubrication.
One of many things I'm now finding out about the vehicle. No big deal. At least I know what I have now and that things are done right.

i think you will find that there are some people who remove those spacers to stop the front wheel wobble which is common but dont check the preload on the bearings and what it does is put too much pressure on the bearing and it shits itself like your have. good luck with it mate sounds like you will get it sorted.

I remember reading about doing that, but that just serves as a quick fix and doesn't address the root problem. From my understanding, the real solution was to replace the kingpin bearings? I'll have to try to dig up that thread or find where I read that. Is there something else I should do to prevent the death wobble?
