Had to spend a lot of money repairing my boat. I had 16 electrolysis holes throughout the hull, that needed to be drilled out and welded, I fully rewired the boat and removed all earths attached to the boat. New nav lights, new cabin lights, new jockey wheel, new flooring using marine ply and resin coated for extra protection, carpet is a little different from the front and read casting decks, new switch panel, and new isolator switch. $2696.00 spent from my saved up money for my suspension lift. Spewing. Still need to see if it floats and have no leaks.

Brought a bottle of Diesel water wetter, I'll see if this helps stops cavitation and "hot spots"
on the block, even though I have no cooling problems, if this makes it more efficient then alls good

My son brought me home some 76mm stainless yeah,
going to re new the piping from the air filter box to the turbo.
All in polished stainless and tig welded, it will increase the hose size a fair bit.
If it looks ok I'll be making some more.
In this pic you can see the OE and the upgraded hose
also upgrading the clamps to constant pressure jobs

Ultragauge arrived today, ordered last week.....

So far have managed to set up the first page of 7 possible pages, each having numerous gauges/readings to be set-up and displayed..

First page for me (at this stage) is Speedo/Rpm/Fuel Rail PSI/MAP PSI/ Coolant Temp/Fuel ...

It's a little confusing to set up with all the possible pages and gauges.

But, will get it set up eventually...

Initial setup had my speed out by 1Km/h, (measured against 3 GPS') Callibrated it now matches GPS speed.
Like any of these I guess they are only as good as the callibration, still need to check/set up the trip gauge features.

Looked at getting a ScanGauge, but thought I would go this path, even with the current exchange rate it was about $30 cheaper delivered

I also think they look a little mor modern...

You didn't find it a bit small, for a big fella like yourself. Nah mate, it's the RV4 which is 2.2 x 2.4 as I remember. I looked at the Black Wolf Turbo type but liked the setup of the Oztent better. Really good quality too.

This will do well for me and the wife while camping (possibly with our youngest 6yo too) and I'm keeping my eyes open for a secondhand RV3 at the right price to go with it for the kids to park their arses in. I've got a couple of the pop up tents for the 2 eldest as they tend to like their own tent nowadays.

Very happy with it.

A Sidchrome ratchet ring spanner set. Bloody lovely to use.

Yes, they sure are.

I initially bought a set of ratchet ring O/E that had the pivot joint on the ring end and it's amazing where they will get into.
Problem is that in some really tight spots when you try and 'lift' the handle to get them off they pivot and the ring jams itself on the nut

Wouldn't be without them now tho

I used to have two deflecting beam arm Torque wrenches a half in" and a qrt in" .
some AH liked them more than me and stole my toolbox while I was working in Alice.
No tools no work so had to come back to Melb, ticked right off over that,

Well, I'm the proud owner of new boots. lol.

No more getting stuck in truck tyre impressions on the road. I glide right over them.

A couple of teething probs though.....Gotta get flares coz the tyres stick out a bit, and have to modify my spare wheel racks on the back, because they're now too small to hold the big fat tyres. lol.

I've only got one spare, and gunna get the other in the next week or two. With 2 spares in the pod, I've lost half my storage space. lol.

They are only a minor problem. I've already washed and polished my truck and it came up purrrfect. Now I just gotta get some pics and post them up here.

So is this for your learners and you will upgrade once you get a license, or something you will have for a while till your more accustomed to riding on the road? This is just to practice on - get used to "a" bike of any description and one I can drop without having to stress about it. Going to clean up Aramdillo and sell it - once it's gone then I'll get the CBR500R I want but really wanted to get back on a bike before that!! fear factor starting to kick in LOL Last time I rode a bike for any length of time I was 15 and crashed it - next one was GSX1100 when I was 18 and only road down a dirt road for 10mins and crapped myself so never been on on since although I e ALWAYS wanted to - just never had the opportunity or a husband who would "let me" surprise surprise - I spent most of my life saying "yes sir - no sir" LOL Will sell the 250 once we get the road bikes (Ohhh I've convinced Brad he needs one too LOL) Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

ETA : this is registered so after awhile on grass I will give it a shot on the road even though will be completely different to riding the CBR :)

Any chance you could take down a few dimensions. Just rang ARB but they couldn't confirm that it would fit other brands because it's made for the ARB swag . I was quoted $120, does that sound right?

Been doing any water crossings as of late? A hot manifold with cold water on it would do this?

Wasn't today but I bought a second hand thermostat housing for the dunger the other day. So I can drill and tap it for a water temp sensor to screw into it. Turns out they already have a provision on it. Well I believe maybe so. Or its just a drain access port... It has a bung screwed into the side of the housing so hopefully I can use this spot. But it faces the inside, towards the motor so I don't know how much room i'll have.
I also ordered an ECU talk. Now I don't even know if I'll bother with having an analog water temp gauge... But I like gauges, and lots of'em. Just one of my fetishes...Lol.

Looks good. My car stuff is all Stanley you can't really go wrong with a lifetime warranty. I do find that my dads snap on stuff is a bit more refined as in some of the Stanley stuff is just too chunky to get into certain spots. Though 99 times out of 100 Stanley will be fine

Edit: for $69 its a good buy. If it didn't have imperial in it I'd buy one to leave in the patrol

My brother has all the top end stuff for work. I don't need the best just stuff that work. The last couple of months I've brought this set, a 2 ton jack and battery operated impact gun for $350. I buy stuff when there on sale.

Pillars mouldings with screws and a rubber grommet for the wires to pass through.
So basically mounted externally. will put pics on install

Bad idea as you cant flip down your visors, ,Plan "B" now is to mount them just above the gauges
so about half way up the "A" pillar moulding, will see if vision is affected, should be right

For the zd mate. its really over due and i need to keep this motor going as good as possible until the funds are adequate, which still is a bit away. But getting closer.
Preventative maintenance I suppose you call it.
