I've let him know. When he knows, I'll know, then you'll know ...

Eric. If you don't mind could you let me know when your mate gets his draws. Suppose if I add the time difference I'll have a true ETA.

Cheers mate.

I called them today and they have an order coming on the 12th of December.

Hey John.Just letting you know.

Jamie got his draw package yesterday arvo.
Ironically they arrived afternoon before his big trip (he left this morning). But even so, it is a major f*** up...

They arrived with NO wings, you can't install the draws without them apparently. mudski Is this true when you were fitting yours?
And there was NO bag of certain bolts or screws or something. Needless to say, considering how organized this mob is, and this close to holidays, who knows when he will get the rest of the stuff now......

Another trip to jbs.
This time for a phone. My youngest is getting my wifes, so she was looking at the s7 outright for 899, mine has been playing up and I inquired about the OPPO f1s (iPhone knock off). Left the store with 2 of the OPPO and $300 better off as well as 2 telstra 6gb Sims
So in the last week or so 3 laptops, double din radio and 2 phones.

Yeah for the price you can't argue. The quality is quite surprising. One plus is, the price. If you lose it or wreck it, it wont hurt as much. One of the reasons my mate bought it as he's not the best with keeping a phone working.

I don't think you will be seeing that fridge.
Read on facebook the other day, that they aren't selling then anymore due to a few of them catching on fire.

Howdy all
I read today that they are now recalling these fridges due to electrical malfunction possibly causing fire and all fridges sold between Oct and Nov should cease being used and returned to domestic and will have new parts installed.

Still no word from 4x4 Supacentre on what's happened or where my fridge is.
Been almost 2 months since we paid for it and they don't return emails.

Got all the belts changed, too.

Gotta give my Nissan dealer a bunch of roses. Last service I was told I had to get a radiator flush. Since being told that, I had the radiator replaced, upon expert advice, and told the receptionist I had the radiator changed and didn't need a flush, but they did it today anyway - forgetting that I told them.

Was told by the receptionist not to worry about paying for it. Got a free radiator flush.

And now the plug......Donovan Nissan, Merredin.

My Answer- It's a 4wd you never stop spending on them, no response, just the way its meant to be HAHA

Edit: I will add the exhaust first and drive to see the difference then add the rest and see how it goes with the extra weight.

Yeah we used to grow our own beetroot and pickle it ourselves. Came out way better than the tinned variety. Hopefully in my next house, wherever it may be, I will have room to have a veggie patch again.

Nothing like home grown veg / fruit and creating some thing from them. I have a few punnets of beetroot in the ground at the moment and still waiting for them to grow. As soon as I take my eye off of them and forget about them, they`ll be grown up and knocking on the back door to be boiled up and pickled. I pickled a heap of green capsicum and chillies two weeks back and hoping the vinegar mix will go good on the next batch of fish and chips, but no idea what I`m going to use the capsicum and chillies for. I`m the only one in the house who`ll eat chillies in one form or another. You looking at acreage of some sort, or an extra large back yard?

Nice choice, I just bought a set in 285/70/17. I've had a set on my last 4wd for 70,000kms so far, still got a good 20 or 30 thousand in them and they've done some tough trips fully loaded. I managed to stake one a while back, but I was turning a trailer around in Mulga scrub, so was bound to happen. Hopefully this set will perform just as well on the Patrol.

Today I bought a set of Sandgrabba mats, never paid so much for a set of floor mats, so hope they live up to the hype!

Nice John? I can't say I've had that one. I've seen it plenty of time but I keep going the JD Single Barrel. Bloody nice drop that is the ol' single barrel stuff. Glenlivet is my fav for a single malt scotch too. Farkin' expensive though. Once I get a house, I will have to have a crack at making a whiskey or scotch now I got my beer stash.

Oh yeah I and I just bought 24 long necks too for the next brew....Haha! Thats what I bought today.

A buyers advocate. Well hired one. Coz we have never bid at auction and really don't want to miss out for the fourth time. Good thing about this guy, he's very intimidating at auctions apparently, and auctioneers hate him. Particularly the mob we are wanting to get this house through. They are notorious for under quoting, in a tricky, yet legal manner, and this advocate knows how they play the game. So interesting and very nervous times ahead.

I hear you, when my trailer wires fails I traced it back to scotch loks joining all the wires.

Howdy
From what I read it can work with a Uniden hands free phone car kit
The mic I was given comes with a blue tooth controller that clips to your shirt and you plug a head phone with built in mic so you can be away from the car and still use the UHF.
It also says there is an optional Bluetooth earpiece like we use on our phones
The instructions are very basic so I will have to have a play and see if it could be paired to my cars radio

My 240 volt compressor was on the fritz today and needed to use my pneumatic nailer so thought I'd plug it into the new double thumper from that joint , so plugged in the air lead and gun plugged in thumper , it ran for about four seconds and cut out .
I'm swearing and cursing and checked volts but they were ok , maybe a fuse , no that was ok , now I'm thinking that cheap is not always good you idiot serves you right .
Mate who was with me picks up nailer and starts nailing away and after the third nail the thumper fires into life for two seconds and cuts out again , then I realised that it's turned off because that's what this one does when it gets to 150 psi
Now where's that bloody instruction manual I turfed .
For the record I tested the three inch nail gun as well and no problem .

Yep, they should be a bit lighter than my old home made set in the last vehicle. I was going to modify my homemade set, but they are damned heavy and I really wanted to get away from using a drop slide again. I think the double stacked drawers and low fridge are a better option for my use.

Tempted just to taste them, but the only real expensive one I will drink is the No.27 Gold. As its not rare. But this rarely comes out anyway.

The Winter Jack is to be drank warm too. Weird...
I kinda got excited also and order No.2 and 3 of the Distiller series. Number one is rare as rocking horse poo and bloody expensive. One day I get it though.

Good luck with the Winter Jack and White Rabbit mate. I struggled to find these. Even the Master Distiller ones are hard. Theres a guy on eBay with a bottle that I want, he knows you can't buy it anymore, and hes asking over double for what the shelf price is/ was.
I wonder what the rules are for importing a bottle or two for myself... The Germans take all the Jack for themselves. Theres heaps over there.

McGuires do a vinyl restoration product that removes the oxidised layer and seals the plastic, returning it to the original colour. Only issues are ; 1) it is a sticky finished surface finish for at least 24 hrs, so dust might undo your hard work if exposed immediately, 2) it has to be re-applied periodically - I found I was getting about 2 months then it starts to fade and go back to the lighter grey colour of the base plastic,. I used to do this when my wife drove the vehicle, but now it doesn't get done anymore.

Yes I have the ryobi gennie , it's reasonably quiet , easy to start , apart from the hiccup of it doesn't like to run in +46 degree heat at max output (which I'm sure none of them don't) only other problem that had me stumped when it wouldn't start at 80 mile beach WA .
Oil was down a bit and slight angle the unit was on activated the fail safe switch for low oil level , so not much really to say don't buy one ours has been ok .

While we camped at Dalhousie Springs during the forum Meet in the Middle, there was a bloke there who ran a generator until very late at night.
He was running one incandescent light bulb. Would you believe it? We live in a world of LED lighting and lithium batteries, it is very cheap and easy to get a rechargeable LED camp light that would probably last longer than a tank of fuel in his generator and put out more light.
What was he thinking???

We took the gennie as back up when going round oz , used it twice first half of the trip and one of those times was loaned to an old guy and his wife who pulled up late and couldn't get his going .
Nothing worse than a generator going right next door unless your by yourself or well away from others , I put 600 watt of solar on van roof and had a 3000 watt inverter so used it bugger all .
Till we did the second half during the off season , temps mid 40's no other tourists and blew my inverter up .
So did use it then , but soon realised price of fuel for one night was same as off peak caravan park .

I have solar power and 3 batteries, but if on extended trips I also take my 1k Honda Generator. It's over 10 years old and hardly makes a sound, especially if I place it under my insulated "2 milk crate" noise filter. You can stand beside it and hold a normal conversation while hardly noticing it running. I only use it in an emergency, if the batteries are very low and theirs no solar ( sun ) available.

GQtdauto
11th March 2017, 07:20 AM
Having 600 watt solar for two batteries even when sky was cloudy I could get a float charge or better , only time battery's gave trouble was one batt shite itself , should have started with two new batts but cheaped out and only bought one new one .
