Ok, thanks heaps for the suggestions Kimbo and others... Lot of reading and info to absorb lol.

First off, I'm now a tad wary of my redarc gauge, and it's accuracy is in question. I double and triple checked everything this afternoon, every connection and cable before going to redarc about it... The water temp is still stuck on 21C and it ain't changing. I have 2 different senders and both do the same thing. That eliminated the sender unit. A little while back after fitting the gauge and EGT probe, I posted that I could not get the EGT's to go up much... (How ironic is it that I wish it were like that this weekend gone. )...
However, its done the same thing today.... But corrected it's self later on.

Had tower rescue training today and another bloke in the class had a serious bit of 4.2 rig, turns out he used to work for some diesel mob in WA , i forget the name... I told him of my woes and after going for a spin, he reckons the boost is way way too low at 10(max) and no way would the 4.2 pulling my setup, be able to sustain even smaller hills in 5th... Really should get it tuned a bit to about 14-16psi. He strongly suggested an ARE IC unit as well with their scoop, he had one on his ute and reckons it does wonders for the temps. I just reckon that narrow and tall scoop is butt ugly and belongs on the drag cars.... but thats just my thoughts.

He also said that I am somewhat lazy with the revs... should do my best not to drive it in the 2000-4000 band , apart from taking off. I know thats when I had the most power at foot, but I let the revs fall way too much in-between the gear changes.
I cruise in 4th, say 60km/h and it's around 1800RPM from memory,if i drop to 3rd Just seems like it's revving for nothing then and burning juice.

On my way home I dropped into JPC and spoke to the tuner there and he assures me he can fix it easily on the dyno and even after a quick tune I won't know the car. Just needs to brought up to scratch to match the exhaust and bigger tyres.
She is going in later this week. I've also ordered the IC in hope it arrives before the tune.

Thanks Kimbo. The more info the better as far as I'm concerned. And no confusion at all, it's clear I need to do a few things to get it to where I want it to be... Just need to decide which way I'll go about it.

Dont you have to match the ohm of the sender unit to the gauge,???
I dont even know my scoop is there lol
I just played with my water temp Guage and just putting power to it it showed 40c
with no sender, got me thinking maybe your sender wire is at fault.

I shouldn't have to match shit the whole thing is plug and play out of the box. Looks like I'll be gutting the whole thing and sending back to redarc.

Dont bother with the ARE scoop mate. I sold my ARE second hand, for the same price I bought the Fairline one new. Much bigger than what your cooler is, But even Jonathan is using one on his teeny IC and says his temps are cooler....

My RX7 intercooler was doing a good job but after fitting the Huge Fairlane scoop the temps were much better so am in no rush at all to swap my intercooler.

I cannot stand the look of those ARE scoops and for the price struggle to justify them.... just a bloody seat cowl for a motorbike and I never paid that much for one.

    Hey mudski
Why did you sell your ARE scoop? Was it for the looks or performance reasons?
    Cheers Kimbo

He's got a cross country IC now and bought the wider scoop to cover the whole ic.

On the dyno tomorrow... Will see how she comes up. Fingers crossed.
The bloke there told me exactly what Matt suggested, apart from the tune, inter-cooler etc... Definitely think about moving away from 3.9's...
