Good point, it may get to that situation. What I cant fathom is the specific fault generated by the controller aligned with the brake switch only connection - perhaps my rickety spade connections were not tight enough or faulting? Anyway, the first attempt failed so I will try the scotch lock assy then if that fails I can rig up a parallel switch for sure. The existing switch does need power to it but not a biggie, thanks for the reply also, does help getting external clarity.
