Went chasing two electrical gremlins. The first was no power within the horn circuit. I wanted to add a small but loud air horn to supplement the pipsqueak pip, and then could not get it to work. 4 hrs later, turned out to be corrosion on the prongs of the horn relay, relay was cycling but too much resistance. Anyway, I pulled the sub assy apart, contact cleaner applied, problem fixed.
Next the a/c circuit would not engage the compressor clutch, again, the actual relay had failed across the power circuit, so a new relay sorted that out. Took an hour to find that one amongst the rats nest of my 'improved' wiring loom.
Now the last headache is trying to get the after market cruise control working, I must have something stupid cocked up as its a pretty basic set up, but cant even get the actuator to cycle under a test mode - more hours of pain coming down the way I assume.
