Ok, I think I remember them all...
I bought my first car at the end of 1980...
1964 Ford Mk1 Cortina 4door,$90, it was painted with Mission Brown house paint, had 4 different coloured doors nick named "Shake Rattle 'n' Roll" cause thats exactly what it did, owned it for 3 months and traded it on...
1971 HG Holden Kingswood, $2,100, this was a pearler 1 owner car, an elderly couple from the country owned it. I killed it... little by little over the next 14 months, traded it on...
1973 HQ Holden Kingswood, $$$, 308 V8 with GTS Dash, I kept this one for maybe 3 or 4 years, it had a back to bare metal respray and HJ rear panel work fitted, with suspension mods this was one of my favorite rides, it handled like it was on rails... pretty good for a HQ , I sold this to some poor bugger after being run into the curbing and cracking the now not so straight chassis... At the same time, I had a FB Holden Wagon that someone had butchered a red motor fit into it, I was going to rebuild this, but after it was defected I lost enthusiasm, it met with the crushers, I also had a 1969 AT114 Dodge Panel Van, was gunna do this one up as a touring/camper van, traded this on...
1977 FJ55 Landcruiser Wagon... not much to add here LOL... except we didn't buy the caravan or take off on that still not done around Australia trip. Traded this on...
1980 Mazda E1600 van, I was convinced I could make a living cleaning carpets if I had a van to cart the gear around in... soon found I didn't like cleaning carpets! Traded this on...
1974 CL Chrysler by Chrysler 360 V8, White vinyl on White duco, another very nice ride (hint... don't run Firestones on heavy cars... NO traction on wet roads) I sold this to my brother, it being a 6 seater served his purposes at the time. I later sold it on his behalf for more than I sold it to him for! next...
1970 HG Holden Premier, I remember doing motor swaps on this car but not why or when we got rid of it (too much/ just enough alcohol )...
1974 HQ Holden Kingswood 253 V8, I bought this off mum when dad passed away, mum didn't drive and needed the dough more than the car, I gave her more than they were in the car yards at the time, I sub-sequentially sold this about a year later at a huge loss...
1968 HB Torana, I remember the lady selling this wanted $900 I talked her down to $450, it had a Brabham 4 banger in it and went like the clappers, I sold this for $600 and did nothing to it...
1971 Datsun Coupe, This cost me a slab of beer... No 1/2 a slab of beer, I helped my mates neighbor drink them after we got the car back to my place. He was going to pay $50 to have it towed away. It needed a radiator, battery and puncture repair, and some panel massaging, btw I put the battery from my car in it, pumped the tyre up, filled the radiator and left the cap off and drove it the 10 minutes to my place bonus...
1974 XB Ford Falcon, this was a bucket, I think a brother in-law bought it...
1977 XC Ford Fairmont, it had all the bells and whistles except for the free fuel card it needed ...
1980 GE Chrysler Sigma Wagon, the family was expanding and we needed two cars so...
1972 GB Chrysler Galant sedan, a friend of my wifes had a friend of hers do a service on this car and then couldn't get it to run, after she put up with 3 months of this car sitting in her driveway she just wanted rid of it for what it currently owed her $380 so I bought it and fixed it in her drive, seems the guy who did the service bought the wrong dizzy cap, I did offer her her money back...
1970 GA Chrysler Galant sedan, I quite liked the GB but it had a slightly twisted front end so this defected GA ($170) became a body donor... It still lives/sits on a property of my brothers rusting away slowly...
1964 Chevrolet Belair RHD, I loved this car, and by now was no longer with the missus. Next missus wouldn't drive it and seeing as I was at the wheel of her VB Commodore when 2 school girls drove into it (righting it off), it had to go and was replaced with...
1990 VN Commodore exec, not much to add here... Except this became the missus' car and I needed transport...
1985 LB Holden Astra, $250, it was all I needed to get to and from work in and it was the right price...
1960 Chevrolet Belair RHD, once you've owned 1 big cruise machine there's not much else. This was my daily driver for the first 4 or 5 years, its now in the shed and daily driving duties went to...
2004 VZ Holden Commodore exec, it had a GTO body kit, was lowered and running on 18" wheels, none of which allowed for getting to my new found interest, beach fishing, enter...
1999 GU Nissan Patrol, one thing I found is although I have the means to get me to the fishing spots I still haven't got there

And Thats where all the bloody money has gone LOL
Some people are like Slinkies… not much good for anything but, they bring a smile to your face when pushed down stairs.
