    I had an isolator but now use a Ctek C250 in mine. I have a solar panel perma mounted on my roof rack so it just made sense to me. I have my unit mounted upside down under the passenger side of the dash. You dont need big heavy cables to run to the batteries like you do with the isolator. Which makes wiring easier. It works well, both batteries get charged well. And when the Patrol is in the sun, the batts still get charged.
    The unit is bigger than I expected when I first bought it, but so is the Redarc BCDC1225, which is what I have in my camper.
