    Yeah 11,000 is fine. If you are that stuck, use a pulley to lighten the load on the winch and components.

    they just say its ok, I run a plasma friendly latch lock hook

    It had one. Water ingress was obviously through winch dealer somewhere else.

    I upgraded to a bigger one from TJM. Pretty sure it's stamped, but the real benefit to me was the bigger diameter. It means I can put both ends of a tree trunk protector in with ease, instead of flopping around with it to get it to work, or using a shackle. Just one less thing to go flying in a mishap.

    Yes youre right I to have the gold zinc plated hook the larger hook area is certainly a bonus
