Yes Michael, I bought a JEE.....60.
Runva seem to be very popular atm, mate brought an ironman winch
something went wrong,,,ironman swapped it over straight away no questions asked
Thinking a Road Runner winch would be a rebadged from another dare I say chinese winch.
Me Id go with a proven name the has great back up like the Runva and Ironman
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Heya Kat,
I'm running an ironman 9500 and it hasn't failed thru a couple of extreme winch episodes, more than happy with it!
Are you sure Steve can't build a winch out of old patrol bits and a couple metres of copper cable???
Seems to be able to put together most anything else! LOL
I AM NOT STUBBORN.........I prefer the term, Singlemindedly independent !
I would personally go with the RoadRunner one Kat. I have spoken to Barry the owner of RR just before he released them and he was very excited about them, if you give them a call they will be able to go through all the reasons why theirs is better than others.
I had the Ironman and it was a good winch but when I took it off I opened it up and it was full of water.
The Runva have become very popular in the last few years too.

Thanks. The ironman man winch now comes with a breather and that and the runva warranty cover water damage. As for Steve fixing the old one, I think he wants it for himself to make a land cruiser out of it.

I've had a Runva 11xp for three years. Has never let me down. Pulled a Jeep out of bonnet deep sludge on Saturday night. I really should've double lined it but it was 1am and I couldn't be bothered. It was full soup, you know, the kind of winch job that you see a few cubic metres of mud being pushed in front of the vehicle. It did it no worries. It has never let me down.

I'm another one with a Runva 11XP, so can't really comment on the 3 you've chosen............. but happy with the one I've got, again had not issues with it, although I would say that the hook feels a bit on the cheap side to me - but it's not failed.............. yet. I'll probably replace it soon - the hook that is

Another + for the Runva. I have the premium version of the 11XP. Which is meant to be more water proof, has the click in and out selector , etc... Yet to use it in anger though.
