Humm the old GQ maverick wasn't spongy per say but teflon lines made a notable improvement in feel and response.
And patrol, well I'd say a little more pedal play than I like, stops well but yeah don't like the play/travel either.
Have a set of teflon coming for Pat, will let ya know how that goes, soon as they turn up.

Geeze you guys are sooks lol..
They stop don't they?
Your in 2.8T plus of rolling steel.
Go drive something like an old Bedford ute and they you'll appreciate what the patrol has lol.

Not biting here, just clarifying why its being talked about.
Yep 2.8t dry + 3.5 trailer, see then how the std brake system stacks up.
yes trailers have brakes but in an emergency you need all possible.
Or then going down a decent you want to be able to rely on stopping power.
That's the problem as I see it.
Then why do people "up grade" to TB48 rotors looking for more stopping power.
Just maybe mr nissan thought that people would buy the biggest engine for towing and gave it the larger diameter rotors and calipers.
finished crying lol

I completely agree.
They could have been better.
But it's sorta like expecting a Chrysler 300c ride from a patrol.
People want lambo stopping power.
Yotas have good brakes.. 4 pot fronts and rear.
But there diffs are shit.
So maybe more went into strength then brakes to help keep costs under control.
Give me strength and I'll start slowing down 100m earlier lol..
