    Best is to take off the belt and spin the a/c by hand, if noisy thats your problem.

    Bearing cost about $30 from memory.

    Any good bearing supplier should stock them. I went in with the old one and they matched it up.

    I think I still have the part # somewhere.

    You did the idler bearing though didn't you John? Not the actual bearing inside the compressor. As to do this the system needs to be degassed and the compressor disassembled. Disregard this if you did the bearing inside the compressor.
