The a/c bearing can be replaced.
I did mine about a year ago. Plenty of info on the web on how to change, not too hard of a job.
Best is to take off the belt and spin the a/c by hand, if noisy thats your problem.
Bearing cost about $30 from memory.
Any good bearing supplier should stock them. I went in with the old one and they matched it up.
I think I still have the part # somewhere.
