Winnie I will text you... as for the tank it has had diesel in it but no biggy at all.... you will need the fuel sender as I do not have another.

Sorry Lucus Jay see was too quick mate.

John I have about 160lt but would love one of those Long range tanks that hold 147lt then I would have about 220lt.

When do you think you'll ever need that much fuel? We used 120L across the Simpson and we took the loooooong way through.

    BA described it perfectly here.
This area and the people living here, is/are very unpredictable. Anything can and does happen. We have had people in my court who didn't give a s#it about anybody else around here in terms of loud exhausts, burnouts, using our short dead-end court as a timing circuit, etc etc... Some of them are now jailed for much more sinister reasons... But unfortunately some still remain.

You do your best to try and keep low profile. But sometimes it's not enough. lol
Yeah I had a straight through exhaust that annoyed somebody ... even though I never revved my car around this area, I try and drive out of the street / area with as low revs as possible. But TD42 is what it is, especially with the low vibration, gear rollover noise or whatever you want to call it... And mind you it is NOTHING compared to some of the cars around here that have been here for ages.... in fact as I'm typing this I can hear a commondoor revving it's gaskets off somewhere in the back street.

And apparently, to report someone to EPA you need to go make a statement and/or have a state dec done for it to proceed. So my car has really stepped on somebody's ears for them to go to that effort.

    It is what it is.

Try doing the Simpson this way, going via the geographical center and geo-survey hill and mostly with no tracks.
120L would not be anywhere near enough.

I made it from the spring steel from an old wiper, then used a couple of small hose clamps to anchor it.

That would be a hell of a lot of fun though! I'd be quite happy to take some extra fuel to do that trip =)

That's why I live in the country - 99% of people are realistic & mind their own business - which is good because I have a very low tolerance for people making mountains out of mole hills .
