2003 gu3 td42tdi sold 😞 bloody gvm towing crap. Bt50 3500kg gvm.
If you want distance with your lights, you cant go past HID. They will always have a longer throw than LED. LED however is awesome for short to middle distance fill. I have been considering buying one of the "spread" type beam ARB LED lights to sit in between my two HID's........
1997 GQ Patrol RX, TB42E. Mods: OME 2" lift, 33" BFG KM2'S, ARB winch bar & reconditioned X9 Superwinch, IPF 900 spotties HID conversion, ARB side steps and scrub bars, Kaymar rear step & spare wheel carrier & jerry holder, Rear 55W LED worklight, Safari Snorkel, 147L LRA tank, Extended diff breathers, dual batteries, GME UHF, Home built drawer and fridge slide, ARB 60L fridge.
@ Drew use HID in conjunction with a light bar will give
you heaps of spread and the HID will shine into the distance.
Perfect combo I reckon.
Even though my light bar is a "spot" beam its not quite enough for driving at 100 kph
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
I have my light force hids in the bullbar but don't need or really want them any more. I have never driven on a road so straight I need to see 2kms up the road. My led bar is all I need
I know of a GQ Patrol that a price was agreed upon today![]()
IF YA DONT GET STUCK YA AINT TRYIN HARD ENOUGH........OR YA TOOK THE CHICKEN TRACK![]()
WARNING: TOWBALLS USED WITH SNATCHSTRAPS DO KILL!!
What I mean is; how many parts are copied or just the way they have to be. Eg, a bracket can only be a few shapes. You can't really make a way different shape bracket just so it's not the same as existing ones.
Don't get me wrong, I know where you're coming from but surely there are examples out there of products that just have to be the way they are. Kind of like you can't re invent the wheel, you can make it out of sub standard materials but it's main design and function is going to be the same as existing examples.
