Not that I want to do this but has anyone mounted theirs in the rear?

I'm guessing the longer wires will result in less air flow but just curious if anyone has done this and feedback?
If its to just run as a compressor for tyres and other stuff, its fine. For lockers, not fine.

I had mine in the back (tyres etc only) and its fine. Can get in the way if you have bulky things you need to put in the back

Indeed but I would be only using it when out of the car airing up though or inflating non sexual inflatable items...lol

I have my compressor in the rear side wing of my drawers. I get no voltage drop to there with 6 B&S cable from my aux bat. I can't see why you'd get less airflow with the compressor in the rear?

Apparently with longer wires you'll get more inline resistance resulting in less air flow rate.

Slowly chipping away at this list!!!
    Geeze, what a top bloke!!

Not too many dramas under seat for airing up. Personally I like em under bonnet if you can squeeze it in - bit more user friendly.

Surely that is relative to voltage drop or current resistance and if you ran sufficient enough cable then it wouldn't affect compressor output?? As I said with my 6 B&S cable voltage drop is negligible to my rear drawers, and my ARB high output compressor seems to run no dramas. Interested to know if there is a possibility of my compressor not running as efficient though.

I already have 2 b&s running to my rear and agree it surely would not see much drop if any at all.

I'm thinking of mounting mine exactly where yours is too after checking out my engine bay today I just can't see it fitting anywhere.

Just noticed my piranha management system is flashing red lights which means I have an electrical problem in my vehicle. I have gone over everything this arvo and pretty sure nothing is wrong which means the system may have shat itself!!!

Ill ring piranha this week anyway, those guys have exceptional after sales service!

    I love finding new problems!!!
