That airbox as advertised flows 308 cfm, the td42 requires approx 550 cfm @ 4000rpm.
As I understand it is not the lid that is the sole problem. There is very little room around the filter element itself. That area is easily choked and therefor will restrict flow.
Performance wise, in the higher rpm the turbo has to work for its air, which it shouldnt do, higher and less managable pyros in the top end and torque and engine responce could suffer too.
Thats my understanding of that anyway
