Im not too sure the dumbasses at repco Doveton actually know what windscreen wipers or wheels are. So can't be certain.
Couple of productive boredom hours.
Even got motivated on a Sunday. Stop the presses. Stripped back the oil cooler cleaned it all and made sure the plunger and ball werent sticky. Plumbed up the oil feed and coolant returns.
Because I hate oil leaks, ive bought a drain fitting so I dont I have use the piece of shit, loose fitting rubber hose as a drain.
Thermostat housing is totally cactus. Will order one next week. Got filters and belts. Genuine thermostat. Glow plugs.
Almost there. Productive weekend.

About to lose my shit with the guys supplying the airbox tomorrow and take my business elsewhere. Patrol docta ZD30 boxes capable for what im trying ti achieve?
Should have it pretty close to done on the weekend.

That airbox as advertised flows 308 cfm, the td42 requires approx 550 cfm @ 4000rpm.
As I understand it is not the lid that is the sole problem. There is very little room around the filter element itself. That area is easily choked and therefor will restrict flow.
Performance wise, in the higher rpm the turbo has to work for its air, which it shouldnt do, higher and less managable pyros in the top end and torque and engine responce could suffer too.
Thats my understanding of that anyway
