    G'day Gary

On behalf of my fellow podologists, welcome to the forum. I had to read your fruit description twice, to get a handle on all the mods. lol.

Detailed pics would be fantastic. I won't ask too much until after you post the pics.

    Where you from?

    Take care out there.

    Rossco
    Podologist President (apparently - lol)

Edit: Gary, I've added you to my signature as a podder. You now need to come good with the pics! lol

    Hi All .
Well I will admit I'm a Virgin to this site and thanks for the welcome ,
Now Ill do a bit of a back ground , I've owned a patrol for about 15 years and love them , the one
before this one was a 1998 ST wagon with a TB 45 petrol on gas , got it at 30,000 K's and
sold it at 345,000 and I still miss her ( we had some good time together ) , however the anchor and I decided we wanted
to do the round Australia thing starting mid May 2015 , after doing the Simpson Desert about 18 months ago a mate of mine
came with us and he had a Pod , we fell in love with it and knew it was what we were looking for , it was a long time trying to find the right one
but we waited and found this one advertised on carsales , we watched and watched but it was in Seymour ( country Victoria ) we finaly got the chance to go and have a look
but was notified it was sold , didn't really matter as we were going past anyway we decided to have a look anyway , it was advertised as having an all steel body
and a good tradies ute , when got there it wasn't sold and I started having a look at it , it has a Rossco's alloy body , ome lift , solar , air bags ect ect was I interested , shit yeah ,
so went back next week and couldn't do a deal but I did get the last owners phone number , gave him a call to find out about it he was a farmer who was going to live out of his van
for a few years and had ARB set it all up for him as a round Aus tow car , and they did a very tougher job , I'M ONE LUCKY BASTARD !!!!!!!!!!!!
went back and bought it , YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok now I will try to put up some pics
    the Patrol

    Very nice buy yesdear.
Is it a coil CC, the rim style suggests it is. If it is have you considered a rear shock tower brace if it hasn't got one?
2 blokes in our club have coils and both have damaged the chassis after a central Australia trip. One had a Superior brace fitted too, but he did give it a hard time.
An 80 series with him fell to bits and had to be flat bedded to be repaired.
    Cheers

I believe the leafy is better for touring, plus a heavier GVM helps with the necessary load. Down side is lack of articulation, and worse is the fat ass rear diff!
I bought my leafy by choice, the pod was bought seperately.
