I've got standard pegs that are about 450mm long and never let me down in sand camping.

Yeah I bought a set of these for the Madigan trip and did not use them once. Good to have but the ground was hard.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I think a general rule of thumb is 6L of water per person per day but take it from home.

I've just had a full makeover on my gq and full service.

I am going solo so taking 2 x 25 litre water plus a shipload of 1 litre bottled waters.

I have a full second set of all hoses and belts. I'm also taking my box of goodies with assorted tricks and bolts, gaskets and tapes, etc. I can also put my td42 back to non turbo if something happens on that side.

Front and rear recovery points and straps and winch.

Brake fluid, power steering, clutch and filter spares, etc.

I have decent tread on my tyres but also taking 2 x spares. One on rear barn door and one on roof.

I have also just invested in small solar suitcase and will be borrowing my brothers 60 litre waeco.

I will have 1 x 60 litre waeco for fridge only with drinks, dairy and fresh produce. I will be ripping out my vege garden just before I leave so have fresh carrots, potato, beetroot, etc.

Not needed but I'm going to spoil myself with my brothers second 60 litre purely as a freezer.

Prior to departure will be cooking up lasagne, stir fry and roasts and veg and freezing in small foil trays to be taken out for defrosting during the day for easy meals in the oven at night in the latter of the trip.

I will also be taking frozen pies, pasties, ice, icey poles, ice cream and other assortments of patisserie pleasures to wang in the oven for lunch times along with wraps with ham, tomato, cheese, etc

Ill also freeze bread to have jaffles for breaky or just cereal, oats etc using 1 litre long life milk.

I will have my aux tank in so ample fuel between stops but still topping up at each spot just in case a crucial servo has had a meltdown and not in operation

Ill also be taking some easy rice satchets as Darren mentioned to just boil up and also some Indian easy boil sauces.

I will be taken a lot of beer. 2 x cartons of ciggys and a dirty big smile!!!!

    I'm sure there's a lot more but that's my food anyway...lol

You are one extravagant bastard Andy. I'm gonna be simple, I've got those pre made meals and I am gonna take a heap of rice satchels to have with them. That's me for dinners, dunno about lunches though.
