EGT/Boost Gauges
So I was wondering which way to go with boost/egt gauges, I've had a look around on various sites at different ones but still have no idea what to go for. digital or mechanical? Dash mount or pod? dual gauges or multifunction? I need reliability and accuracy without having to go and rob a bank. I'd also be very interested to know which brands to avoid.

Just avoid cheap pretty much. I use Mc.Nally, many others use VDO or Autotron.

I was thinking about mounting it in the centre console below the tuner.
These are mine but abit expensive.
I went with Autron.

I use auberins for egt and and also head metal temp for boost i just use a sas gauge but will be swapping that to a digital read out as i find digital much better

I also use auber instrument gauges. I find they are extremely accurate and easy to read. They also have max/min feature and an external output triggered by user set alarm levels for use with a relay etc. They are versatile and capable of been used with a variety of sensors so you can switch the use of them without having to buy another gauge. I have 3 mounted below my stereo red is EGT, green is boost, and blue is now hooked up to water temp. I also have another air intake temp sensor and when I get my intercooler setup I'll change water temp to air intake for a while. Tried uploading a pic but motor culture isn't letting me for some reason. I'll try again later....
I use Speco and when combined with the ECU-talk very accurate.

Im loving the look of the autrons!
I have an Autron gauge, and it's pretty good. Being able to set alarms on it at set points really helps when tuning up the NADS !
Only gripe I have with the Autron is how bloody bright they are at night driving.
