To be honest Lucas, in the 2" lift range I don't think you really can go past the Old Man Emu for a high quality infinitely variable valving, nitro charged shock that is Australian Made and Australian Owned and Australian Proven.

If I ran a 2" lift it would be OME and the 3" on the GUIV is OME.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Hey darren, youre not a fan of the adjustable Ranchos? Is it because they wear out quick or are they just rubbish? I have a sneaky suspicion that those tough dog adjustables are the same shock just rebranded. Is this true? a mate has the tough dogs and they look like a good thing. I'm not a Tough Dog advocate (had Bilsteins and thought they were simply awesome) but the tough dog 45mm 10" and 12" on the truck have proven me a convert after YNOT ran them for 10,000 k's and swapped to my rig and have done another 73,000+ on them - shot now, but I'm not your average "tourer" either, so they've copped a caning an have stood up to it.

My mate has the tough dog 45mm adjustable and they feel good. (and look good when watching the vids)

    Lucas,

I have only known one person, out of all the people who swear by the Rancho adjustables, who actually used them off road, and around 10,000Klms he junked them and swore to never use them again.....could have just been unlucky, but it put me off them.

Well it seems the vibration is still there... got home from work and decided to fit the other lower control arm as it is also a little bent and realised I stuffed up and put the other one on wrong??? dopey bugger!!!

Went for a drive after that and under real tight left cornering still felt it.... have not had a chance to fit new uni's yet as I got a dodgy one from Repco and took it back today for another so will see when I get a chance but not this weekend as I promised.

The starter motor does not disengage straight away and think there is mud in it?

Fwuck this is pissing me off!!!!!! bloody bog holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just one a full set of Old man Emu remote reservoir shocks that are rebuildable..... $265 for all 4 !!!!!!!

Frickin wrapped as I have been watching them since Daz and Benny gave me advice, cant wait to get them and fit em up.

The back end at the moment is a bit boat like since stuffing my left rear last weekend?

Daz I thought for sure it would go up more as there were a few questions asked... the one thing in my favour was his title description was odd ball and even though I thought I had searched all GQ shocks it was only after you told me to look at Old man emu that I spotted them and it was only when I had a closer look at the details I realised they were for a GQ!!!

Irish picked up an engine in almost the same way.... guy did not spell something correctly and Pete got the engine for a bargain price!!!

So I think these sell for about $470 each?? anyone know what seal kits are worth?
