Sorry mate thats how it sounded. I get a lot of people who think they know better who just waste my time with silly emails and cheap digs at prices and that how I took it. The ones who have seen the kits first hand know there built well and don't question them. If people new how many dollars I've wasted on trying different products and lights they would understand that it's been done this way for a reason. Thats why I took offence and for the record my R&D costs are over $10,000 now. A lot of that has went into jigs and I also use lazer levels to align the projectors. There still not perfect but doing it on a bench without the right gear I'd imagine they would be far worst.

I don't do them this way for no reason though. If I could do it with cheap lights I would as I could save myself nearly $80 per kit. Britrax is infact the only 7 inch light that can actualy handle HID lighting and advertised this way. Also the reflectors even though there not used they will go yellow or flake over time where the Britrax ones wont. There refectors wont yellow and neither should there Polycarbonate lens. The lights you see that are yellowing in cars today aren't full poly carbonate and there running halogen bulbs which produce far more heat which may add to that.

I also put a protective wax on the inside of the lens to help them last longer and I also put in on the outside and like with any part of your car when waxing it put a coat of wax on your lights and they will lasts years.

Sorry I was a bit snappy but if you saw some of the emails I get you would understand.lol

    Cheers Mick.

    Mick,

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you mean about the emails. I'm sorry if my post sounded like that, I certainly didn't mean to come across like that.

I've been researching HID lights for a while now. I'm really glad that I came across your product. I was going to wing it and go one of those H4 HID conversions, but I like to do things right the first time (if budget permits) otherwise I just won't do it. There's nothing worse than a cheap product that you'll always be pissed at. Plus the fact that I can't stand drivers driving around with headlights miss aligned or incorrect applications (looks like hi-beam but isn't), so I don't want to be one of those.

If it's not too much trouble could you please PM a current price one of your conversions for a 50/55w ballast/globe 4300K version with 3" projectors and all the other related bits and pieces. I would like you to do all the necessary work required so I can just slot them into my patrol GQ. I am not interested in all the bling bling such as angel eyes or parking lights etc. I just want good vision from my old girl.

    Also while I'm here...
    Are the ballasts waterproof?
Seconds until full brightness is achieved?
What's the deal with the OSRAM globes, what are they compared to the standard HID 50W globes you supply?

    Thanks for your time mate

    Hey Mick.

Once again sorry about the delay. Here are the pics of the 7" units with the 50w ballasts. I had just bulbs and ballasts in the reflectors prior to this in 35w. This should be a good comparison for those running just bulbs and ballasts in the reflector housings.

First one low beam with bulbs and ballasts. You can how the light is everywhere hence why they are bad for oncoming traffic.

This is low beam on the projectors.

Hi Beam with bulbs and ballasts.

    Hi Beam with the projectors

Thanks for that Matt. Those are the pics I have been asked for a few times now. Thats a really good comparison.

Are those pics above of only one light or both? I can only see one cut off in the pic? If there both on you might want to ajust the lights out a little bit as they might be slightly crossed over.

    Cheers Mick.

Yeah it's both mick. I haven't played with them a lot and it hardly gets driven so next time get it out I will have a bit more of a play with it. The short time I did drive it for they aren't setup to bad and they are awesome.

I think these kits are tops!!!, i like that fact that you are doing these with projectors as using hid into standard head light are irresponsible in my opinion as it does blink on coming traffic, i would like to know some more about these kits,

    Mick,
Can you make 7 inch round headlights with 3inch HID projector for Nissan Safari 24V? Right hand traffic.
Have the Britax lens marking for xenon?
