    Sorry mate - I don't understand.
Your ebay store shows options for mini vw etc do I assume the conversion is designed to fit specific cars??
For my gu2 patrol is there any cutting required or does it just fit into the housing once you separate the backing from the lense???

No there not made for specific cars. If you look in a BMW or Mini headlight that's what the shrouds are based off. They will fit anything H4 mate. I have Porsche shrouds in mine and some have Mini shrouds. It's just personal preference.

They are totally plug and play and not cutting at all. You may need to trim the shroud depending on what one you choose or the bottom lugs off the projector. This is easy and can be done in minutes.

G'day Mick. If you go the two halo option, one as indicator, can you have the other as daytime running lights, probably required a relay to power on when lights are off.

How will they cope over time on seriously corrugated rough roads?

Just like any headlight or spotlight as long as there fitted correctly there fine. There is nothing in them to fail.

    Cheers Mick.

    glass lenses (for patrol GQ)

    Hi Mick,

    I've been following this thread.

If the reflector does not contribute to the light, why use 7" britax headlights which are expensive. I would much prefer the cheaper headlights with metal casing and a glass lens. Polycarbonate oxidises with time. I know they wont crack, but in the years of my off road I have yet to crack a glass lens.

    Regards

I'm not trying to be rude but your not the one who has to seperate the glass from the metal without it breaking, drilling and cutting 120mm hole in steel is harder to mod then alloy and when was the last time you saw a clear glass lens that was as clean as the poly carbonate in a 7 inch light???

Don't you think I've done a little bit of research on the subject and worked out what works and what doesn't?

    Cheers Mick.

Not having a go mate. Why did you take offense? It was a legitimate question Mick, but fair point with the glass.

Doesn't polycarbonate get affected by UV light and go yellow over time or is that not the case anymore with newer technology?

I'm really interested in your product.

    Cheers
