Well, the clean down of the chassis (nightmare) and sanding of the cabin have begun ... Macca is over tomorrow to finish up the floor pan, and then it's probably a week of clean down prepping for paint ... young fella just LOVES sanding!!! NOT!!! lol

Tell him to be thankful he is using a power sander, instead of a sanding block.

you want to borrow my kero gun to blow whatever inside the chassis rails?

I don't think it would cope with body schut2 but seems to digest most other thinner products- works on a venturi, so if it is too thick, won't pick up.

If you are going to use tectyl, I have another toy I'll bring over if I get there. Keen to have a look at your projects, maybe see to that job I discussed with you and also see if Silver needs attention to castor after its lift - experts say it won't, but I guess the test will be on the free way with the speedo showing more than 90. Why am I interested in the castor issue - 3" at rear unladen, a shade over 2" at the front.

Still too chicken for your test track, so no need to get it ready for me :-)

A HUGE thanks to Macca and Benny for their help on the weekend ... oh yeah ... Dhuck was there too!!! lol

Made some top progress on Liam's rig with Benny and I getting the floor pan, sills, and bracing on the sheet we put in last week completely shaped up and Macca got it all welded in. Heaps of sanding happened and it's not far off being ready for paint ... ummmm ... anyone on here any good with a spray gun?? lol. It's gunna be trial and error with me doing it!!!!

Soooooo ... about 2-3 weeks depending on the spray job, and it'll be ready for roadworthy inspection ...

If anyone comes across some semi-decent door trims/handles etc for a GQ then please let me know - his are ordinary and whilst I found some, the bloke was selling them complete with the doors for a let's say, above average price (coz they're just "so straight" as he kept telling me!!! lol).

Those reflective strips on the shirt work next time I won't wear them so I don't ruin your photos. My brother in law has done a bit of spraying if you can't find any pros at it
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honour.
