not on facebook - this statement I guess would apply to the forum as much as to facebook - 'If you are not paying, you are part of the product.' A quote from a Google exec I think.
But, importantly, this forum hasn't been, so far as I know :-) mucking around with privacy settings etc.
Plus, Richie Rich of former Onetell fame has not said that he has paid for data from this forum to undertake 'deep data mining' to establish user preferences etc. I heard him interviewed in relation to exactly that with either Google or facebook.
It is just that I don't really understand facebook fully, don't see them as benign, and also see them as a target for hackers etc, so I don't play in that space. It could well be that my concerns are completely misguided - at the moment I am applying when in doubt, don't.
