    A little update......
Been leaking a little oil and the other day it dropped a heap so I had a look and it appeared my rear main seal was to blame. The front crank seal was also weeping a bit. Borrowed another car to get to work, ordered the seals, lined a mate up to fit them tomorrow, all good.... I drove the trol to work today so I could leave it at my mates tonight. On the way, it felt like it wasn't changing gears right..... On the big hill near work it definitely wasn't changing right...... Auto temp warning light came on and I limped the 1 minute to work..... Guess it wasn't the rear main seal leaking..... Last time I had work done to the auto, I got some damn expensive trans fluid. I didn't see it when it went in and assumed it was that red colour so therefore the black stuff dripping out the bottom looked(and smelt) like oil not trans fluid....
As some of you might know I have had an EXTREMELY BAD RUN with this effen transmission.
    AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Yeah, when they're good they're awesome, when they give trouble they're a nightmare.
Maybe time to bite the bullet and get it fully reco'd by someone different?

Been fully reco'd. Reco'd torque converter. New Nomad valvebody. New temp sensors. New TPS. Bloody expensive trans fluid. No one else around here to go to really....
Taking it there tonight and hoping it's a warranty job, well, gonna tell him it IS a warranty job....

    It does happen.
We had a crook seal replaced under warranty. It was letting the fluid bypass reverse

I rang him before and he reckons it's probably the "front seal". Taking it there this arvo.
Just got 30 bucks worth of trans fluid so I can limp it there. Good use of 30 bucks lol.

Tried not stressing for the last 6 months or so and it hasn't got me anywhere!! It is worth stressing about now lol. Priced up a brand new gearbox from Nissan: $4850.....I've spent over $4000 on mine so far and at the moment it's sitting at work with a buggered seal, no trans fluid left and possible heat damage.... Oh and I still have the lockout converter issue (the original problem I went in to get fixed).......grrrr

Picked her up last night. The Reco torque converter was to blame. It was out of round and therefore flogged out the front transmission seal. Got another reco torque converter, new seal, new fluid, labour etc all under warranty so i didnt have to pay a cent (apart from the $30 of fluid to limp it to the shop). All seems fine so far so im happy again

    Man, what a rollercoaster ride!!!

That's a good result, what a waste of time though!

Did you ever check the VIN number to see if yours was a TI? Mines got all the same features as yours, like electric mirrors and windows, swaybar disconnect etc... and mine's an ST.
