Thanks Todd. 97_gq_lwb put my vin in and it said it was a dx, with a diesel, 5 speed floor shift with E.G.I. So something isn't right there! I don't think it's had the plates swapped lol.

Just the grade was wrong wasn't it ?
Like mine everything was right except the grade said it was a ti/ad when it is an rx everything else was right rd28 etc
Ahhh sorry. I must have read that diagram wrong. Well yeah everything is right then. It might well be a dx too.... Could the customer have optioned it out before buying or is it more likely the grade is wrong like yours?

I have no idea mine still had rx stickers on it so i assumed it was an rx has no power windows but does have central locking and the other junk being a 97 i thought that was pretty much standard .
It has flares and ti alloy mags i have another rx here that has those crappy 6 inch 16's and no flares maybe i should check what it is.
Must be a nisfast error i just put the other ones vin in and it says the same ti/ad and it is an rx 96 model

Ok just had another look at it that reference i sent if you take no notice of the order of letters after y60 suggests with the j that yours is a gr or ti limited type.
Mine are WYGY60YFTMC112 WYGY60YFTM12
And with mine i think the y represents the type

Thanks but I still can not make heads or tails out of it lol! Do the little squares suggest there is nothing in that place in the vin? The letter J (for GR or Ti limited type) is the first character in my vin. Also the letter K (to represent auto transmission) does not appear anywhere in my vin???

From what i can make of it KMCJG cross references with that chart but in no particular order.
Like k automatic m australia etc
