My GQ has done over 300,000 kM, has plenty of oil leaks and is down on power. I figure the engine is living on borrowed time. I considered conversion to a TD42 but too many parts required (I love the gearbox in the 2.8 - a much nicer box that won't fit with the 4.2) and too much work to change and the 4.2 really needs a turbo. So I would like to locate a NEW RD28T engine.
Anybody have any idea if such is available, where and how much.
p.s. I want the RD28T not the RD28TDi, that is the one with the hydraulic tappets rather than the one with buckets and shims (and too much electronics for my liking). Prefer the one with the vacuum pump on the valve cover rather than on the back of the alternator but that's not so important.
