Wink Xtremes GU (JINXED) Warning picture rich as expected

About time i put up a Members ride thread with lots'a pics cause i know how much we all love pics
Jinxed started life in SA somewhere as a grandpas runabout picking up the daily newspaper and stuff (found lots of receipts under seats and carpet lol) and you could tell it had never been offroad.
Heres a pic when i was driving it home from SA at this stage the only mods were 100lt LPG and a 75lt long range sub tank

Got it home then a week later the alternator died but not before taking out as much as it could with it. Apparently as told to me by the auto elec that the regulator fused somehow and sent 24volts to everything i had to replace the ECU, ALT, Airflow meter, Instrument panel yep it literally filled up with smoke lol, battery which was new puffed up like a balloon, all globes and that's just to get it running again not to mention the airbag control unit (still not done), central locking, power antenna and stereo i think it would have been easier to list the things i didnt replace .... ummm oh thats right the power windows still worked LOL

After That the funds were a bit tight so the mods came slowly. First was the need for tunes as the stereo was OS so in went a 7" touch screen GPS that runs OziExplorer loads of other stuff.
    And a UHF
Sorry only pic i have of them atm is a dusty one

Then a snorkel its an ebay Safari rip off but am happy with it but as aways it caused problems with the tuning even with a balance pipe fitted so took it down to the local mechanic only to be told that the gas converter had to be replaced so did that and guess what ... problem still there Grrr. Took it into ARB onto there dyno and little better still backfires and stalls on gas
oh sorry did you say picture ok ok here you go

Ok whats next oh thats right the main oil seal was leaking badly all the sudden so being the DIY sort of guy thought no worrys ill fix that easy lol went out bought myself a big arse gear puller for the pulley knowing that i had to take out the radiator only to find out that to get it in the aircon condenser had to come out too so now no aircon as i had to let the gas out DOH... no sorry no pics of the little hole in the ozone layer LOL

Next was the stupid plastic radiator as seen Here http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...astic-Radiator
Leaving me stuck once again on the side of the road.

Replaced with this not so stupid alloy radiator
Oh and new belts, water pump, hoses and fan because im starting to have TRUST ISSUES

Ok things were going ok for a little while bought myself a 3" flexy lift kit with drop boxes and rear sway bar disconnects (took the front sway bar off) I was going to do a thread about it but got carried away when da' maverick came over to give me a hand and forgot to keep taking pictures
but heres some work in progress shots

And yep got stuck in the shed LOL had to let the tires down and sit the family in the back to get it out.

Then keeping with the fashion the day after putting the lift in the clutch stated to slip badly soooooo again throw more money at it $1200 later its got a new safari tuff clutch in her
Nope no pics as i sent it into arb for that one (im getting a little sick of fixing it atm)

finally got a lucky break today got myself some brand new rims and tires for a good deal
33" Mickey Thompson MTZ and Mickey Thompson Sidebiter rims.
Just had to put one on today for a quick look as i need to book it in for a wheel alignment before driving with them

    Until something else breaks
    Cheers

Nice ride. Got to have a giggle at your misfortunes though. I feel much better. The thing about things going wrong is you get to know your vehicle inside out. Which is a good thing.

Mostly around the East gippsland area like Jacksons crossing, Deddick trail, and one of my favorite little day trips is the haunted stream track something like 50 water crossings in about 10km (pics below i was behind the camera so none of me)

And heres a little youtube clip back when i first got the Patrol. The first bits on the mitchell river south of dargo the rest is on the deddick trail and it was lots steeper than it looks on the clip

Great little area to wheel in so come on down anytime (when the tracks open again) im aways looking for an excuse to go bush
    Cheers
